    • Great little camera, works well with android head unit.
Works great! I’ve had no issues as of yet. Really the only remotely difficult part of the install was running the wire through the trim pieces and under the dash, but all things considered it probably only took me about 15 minutes start to finish. It was very easy to install the app onto my aftermarket android head unit, all you have to do is find the apk file in the camera’s file storage using the files app on your head unit, then long-click on it and hit “install”. (very clearly labeled and easy to find) It says 32 gb max sd card size in the description, however, I’ve been using a 256 gb sandisk card and filled up around 50 gb so far with no issues whatsoever. The colors are somewhat muted and the video quality is certainly not 1080p, but it’s good enough to read license plates at about a 15-20 foot range. (If I had to guess i would say it’s in the range of 480p-720p) The audio quality is similar- doesn’t sound great, but certainly good enough to pick up conversations. One small complaint I had is that there’s no way to scrub/fast forward through the video files when viewing them in the native app on the headunit. I “fixed” this by setting the recording length to one minute instead of the default three minutes, so I’ll only have to sit through a minute of video until I find what I’m looking for. (You can of course just plug the sd card into a computer and scrub through on there.) Just as a side note- the best way that I’ve found to save a video file is to take the sd card out, put it into a computer, then either copy it to the computer or email it to yourself. I will say, for some reason, it saves video files in .avi format, which most phones don’t support, so I’ve used an online .avi to .mp4 tool from adobe. (I believe you can also connect your phone to the other usb port of your android head unit, then transfer the file using the files app on the head unit, but that seems like it would involve a lot more clicking and take longer for the file to transfer as the rate is only 30mb/s) Overall, I’d say this is certainly a great camera for the 18 bucks I paid for it. While it may not have as many features as some stand-alone cams that will connect to your phone, record exterior + interior, etc, if you already have an android head unit installed in your car, it’s a great, very cheap option. ... show more

    • This thing would be great a 5 star if it only had better instructions
It took me a little while to get it working properly but I love the thing and the accident avoidance or whatever you call it the AI built into it once it's plugged into an Android device that lends compute, It's amazing at tracking which lanes you're in etcetera. Negative points because there's no clear weight or instruction on how to switch it from metric to standard measurements so you're stuck at kilometers per hour and meters. It's also really frustrating that there's a set speed limit apparently if you go over 120km an hour it's gonna give you some kind of Ding Ding warning But it's all in Chinese, Voices in Chinese. If your device is updated Google Play protections I don't know what you call it but this software that comes the camera will be flagged as malicious I don't know if that's true but something to be aware of. ... show more

Did not come with a memory card and it doesn't say anywhere on the listing that it doesn't come with one. Normally when that's the case it's included. Camera angle and quality is not very good

I got this to use the adas function on my joying 15.1 inch android head unit. Works well once updated. The 2 sided tape did let go when it got super hot this summer
