I can't really knock this head unit. It has a good quality feel to it. A sexy oversized screen. Fairly large heat sink. All the standard easy hook ups plus some extras. Everything works like it shoud. I did have to roll back chrome to get it to not force close all the time. Even after updating system and mcu a couple times which worked flawlessly. It has your typical Chinese H/U sound which is decent and open sounding if not slightly shrill especially over bluetooth. The DSP app is ok but I would recommend getting a separate DSP altogether. It's surprisingly fast with no lag or redraw even with a bunch of apps open in the background. "Android Auto" works well. On a side note you can use FCC Launcher for a better user interface. 5 hundos sound like a lot for a radio but not really considering how much it can do and the size of the screen. A CD player would be nice I guess and I really wish it had quick charging. My phone barely holds an even charge under heavy load like hotspotting. Even still I'm digging it. Now let's see how long it lasts. My old pioneer 5500nex won't die. ... show more

I purchased this with the hope that it would work with my car, unfortunately much like everything else on the market for the Genesis Coupe with NAV integrated this didn't work with it either. This isn't really the fault of the unit but rather newer cars just being overly complex. My steering wheel control uses the SWC 3.5mm in for controls and this unit cannot adapt to that. Other then that the screen is huge, I like being able to touch my way through the interface fairly easily. The UI does need work though, you can't resize widgets around as nice as I'd hoped. In my case the Android Auto would crash the app on my phone (LGV60) while connected to the supposed to work android Auto. The screen Mirroring did work but because the unit is only 2.4GHZ wifi the video mirroring speed had about a .75-1 second lag too it and was fairly low frame rate. Although to be fair to DASAITA screen mirroring over wifi at home is about as terrible as experience. It's always choppy or delated or buffers so that feature isn't really a detriment of the deck just screen mirroring in general. The unit worked with SPOTIFY quite well, and the Navigation was really cool which I'll be disappointed to not have since I currently don't have navigation in my car while I find a more compatible stereo. USB outs worked great, you can even plug into a key board/mouse and it works like a regular computer so you can basically video conference in your car if you wanted too. Can plug all sorts of accessories into usb BUT the OTA connection for external sound devices, although it says it works DOES NOT WORK, I attempted to pair it with a SPDIF/TOSlink USB OTA device that worked perfectly with my phone but wouldn't work with this deck. This honestly was a make or break with this deck for the cost of it. Android 10 at this point should be fully supporting something I've had on my phones for the past 6 years. So DASAITA get with the game, there is no reason that my 500$ phone can beat your 500 car stereo that is just another android tablet. Overall, the unit does what it does, does have mirroring and it works, does act just like an android tablet and you can download apps, has great navigation, has your audio outs, speaker outs, mic, gps ant, wifi ant, supports bluetooth pairing which works great for calling, and the touch screen was overall about as good as it gets with android tablets. It is unfortunate that that no matter what i tried for my Genesis that the SWC and the USB OTA for android wouldn't work. Those 2 things would have made this deck better then 50% of the stereo's out there. I will definitely consider DASAITA in the future, but they have to figure out some updated additions like adding the industry wide standard SWC plug that works with AXXIS, Maestro and PAC, and making the OTA work with android for external sound devices. Definitely worth every penny. Enhances the dash with the, "WOW" Factor. Ordering was simple and delivery was fairly quick for Hawaii. I contacted the company to ensure that they sent the correct wiring harness that made installation plug and play. the correct wiring harness has the CAN-BUS built in for steering wheel controls and other features. They include an external mic and GPS antenna, but I opted to purchase adapters that allow you to keep system looking stock utilizing the OEM GPS antenna and built in mic on the unit. As for me, no connectivity issues with GPS and Bluetooth. Touch screen. It took me about 40 mins to install and another hour the next day just because I wanted to tidy up the wires you can't see LOL. Instruction manual is lacking. My first contribution to you all is for the reverse camera. There is one yellow RCA plug located on the audio out harness and another located on the main harness, one male one female. These two have to plug into each other for the rear back up camera to work. User interface is easy and Sound system, DSP is incredible. I have the JBL system which is still connected to the dash speakers and two separate after market amps for the door components and sub woofers. My second contribution to you all is that you will have to buy a "Y" splitter if your gonna connect a sub woofer amp. For some reason it only has a single RCA plug for the sub-woofer preout while the front and rear outputs have the dedicated universal red and white plugs. Yes, screen quality is really good you can download pretty much any app/icon you want from navigation to movie streaming applications. The unit has one HDMI out as well two dedicated video out for your overhead or head rest monitors. I have tried double dins as well as the Tesla style unit and in my opinion this one blows them all out the water. I was surprisingly impressed and will buy one again if I can put it in my other vehicles. The only issue i do see is very minor, due to the screw mounting locations on the sides of the dash kit, the double din doesn't protrude enough to enable the screen to turn vertical. I personally like it the way i have it. And one more thing, before you tear into your dash, please take the time to apply some masking or painters tape to the sides of the center console so that you don't scratch it.
