This is the two-piece SATR592MHB model, 50/50 split. Decent rod, took it jigging out of Hatteras recently. Was jigging mostly 200g jigs which it handled well. I think it'll jig up to about 250g adequately. I was running approx 15lb drag and didn't notice the rod making any splintering/popping/creaking sounds, but I kept the rod pointed below the horizontal while fighting fish. We were catching 20lb class blackfin tuna but I wouldn't try pumping a 70lb yellowfin or AJ with this thing. Once you start getting into bigger game you'll need to start fighting from the reel more. ... show more

Its a good rod but the image was for a three piece spinning rod i was looking to purchase. I made the mistake of quickly buying this one on the app based on the photo. Please be careful and dont make the same costly mistake of getting a bunch of casting rods to match all your spinning reels the day before your trip. ... show more

This was the first real travel rod I got, I am super happy with it. The sensitivity and strength of the rod have been great so far. I originally got it for my out of town trips I take my tackle along with but now i'm at the point where I'm using this rod on all my inshore trips, both local and away!
