  • Long distance casting rod with great portability.
Size: 10 ft / 3.00 lbs
I fish a large urban lake and need to throw a weighted bait holder rig a far distance to reach carp and koi in deeper water during winter months. Just bought my second one today, given how great this rod is. Paired it with a BE9000 bait feeder large spool reel budget reel and easily getting out over 80 yards. Impressive rod all round and doubles up great for fishing large water expanses for catfish on a bobber. Its two piece telescopic design makes it great for portability. ... show more

  • Daiwa 10’ Black Widow rod

Great buy for the money. I thought the telescoping section might be an issue but it holds tight in the extended position. I do wish it held that way in the collapsed position it is a economy rod the performs well

  • Quality carp rods
Size: 10 ft / 3.00 lbs
These black widows are exactly what I was hoping for in a carp rod. The 10' length is great for accuracy and distance on casting and the 2.75 lb test curve is great for fighting carp. I was worried the extension piece would slide down while using the rod but it holds in place tightly. These rods pack down to a length that easily fits across a back seat, so storage size is great for a 10' rod. I now own 3 of them ... show more

  • Nice rod
Size: 9 ft / 2.75 lbs
This is a very nice rod . I have an expensive Nash rod and this one is just as nice. The 2.75 has nice bend through the rod.

  • Excellent rods for the purpose.
Size: 10 ft / 3.00 lbs
This is my second of these rods. I’m a dedicated carp fisherman, and these work quite well. Enough power to cast a big wad of “pack bait” along with a sinker, and plenty of backbone for large (20+ pound) carp. My only complaint is the lack of a “hook keeper”, but I was able to easily improvise one on both rods. ... show more
