    • Wife and I agree, makes life easier
Style: Light Tension Size: 4/4 Scale Color: Full Set (1 Set)
These. Strings. Have . Changed. My. Life!!!!!!!!!! I am a guitarist/bassist by heart but love all string instruments so I have been working on my folk instrument skills. These are excellent for the beginner! Light tensions so it is easier to press the string and also does not add to the bow of the violin neck, which brings the strings closer to the fingerboard. These have a mellow, smooth tone, definitely not for country but can easily be used for orchestra, in my guitarist opinion of course. If you are having trouble with the strings cutting into your fingers, these might help prevent that! Love Daddario!! ... show more

    • Like Breathing
Style: Light Tension Size: 4/4 Scale Color: Full Set (1 Set)
I chose to get light strings because my violin responds well without a center peg, but I was concerned about damage. Fixing the peg is not an option for me. The sound is clear and the strings are very responsive. There is no preferential resonance so far, but I have been unstrung on my instrument for several years, and the previous strings were probably high tension. ... show more

Definitely more receptive to twang and bends. I paid up for lights but the sound isn’t that spectacular. Likely due to my starter fiddle and total lack of natural talent tho.

Improved the sound of a too dark violin. No break in period, good tension.

    • Bright and Crisp Sound- Light tension.
Style: Light Tension Size: 4/4 Scale Color: Full Set (1 Set)
Great set of Violin strings, it replaced the old set I had on my violin. It makes a good, clear and crisp sound, which I prefer on my instrument... With three tension(s) to choose from, you won't be disappointed with the sound and quality!

    • Not good
Style: Light Tension Size: 4/4 Scale Color: Full Set (1 Set)
Wanted to switch from medium tension to light tension just to see if the E string would be less irritating and if it was easier to play. Not a professional but immediately I noticed the E string sounded a little less irritating. The G string vibrated so much I could feel it on the chin rest and sounded bad. It wasn't just that that was the deal breaker. Right after tuning one string the other would immediately loosen. Right after tuning the string that was literally just tuned, the same one I just tuned would also need tuned. Then I'd tune that one and another. Not staying tuned literally right after tuning them. Not good strings. ... show more
