We got this for my husband for Father's Day. He loves ice cream so this is right up his alley! The mug/bowl is nice and big but not TOO big. It's high quality and sturdy - ceramic (mug material). The spoon is cute - he'll appreciate that. (Though why it isn't in the shape of a shovel, I don't know) The ice cream scoop is nice though I'm the one who dishes the ice cream so I don't know that he'll use it. It works well. No issues. It's a bit expensive but a quality gift. I recommend! :)

Nice like gift set for someone that really likes ice cream. The set comes with a large cup/bowl. Have not tried to figure out how much it can hold; however, given the size, it is at least half a pint of ice cream. I can't imagine anyone eating that much ice cream in one sitting but it would be great for making sundaes. There is also a little spoon in the kit. The spoon is relatively small though compared to how much ice cream the cup/bowl can hold. It's going to be a lot of spoonful! Finally, there is also a ice cream scoop that can also serve as a cookie dough scoop. The push out function is nicer than most other type of scoops with the squeeze handle type. This is less likely (if at all) to break. The only thing about the scoop is that the handle is hollow. It feel really light. I am a bit concerned about how well this will hold up scooping up hard ice cream or large amounts of cookie dough. Hopefully, it won't get crushed.

The spoon is a standard size for silverware and is not shaped like a shovel as advertised in the picture. So just know the spoon is not large or shovel shaped at all. With that being said, the spoon was a big factor in choosing this gift for my man. Disappointed a bit.

This is for my ice cream-loving husband, who is "Grandpa" to a bunch of kids. I plan on giving this to him on Father's Day. The ice cream cup seems pretty sturdy and is well-balanced with a handle, and it includes a lightweight "shovel," an oversized spoon. The Ice cream scoop is a little disappointing in that it is somewhat small and has uncomfortable edges, but it should work as long as the ice cream is a little on the soft side. An improvement to the set would be to include an ice cream scoop that is more suitable for older, more likely to be arthritic, hands. Still, the set is really, really cute.

The media could not be loaded. This is the perfect gift for my ice cream loving son. Though the cup looks small, it is not. It is more like a bowl about five (5) inches deep. I estimate you could fit somewhere between 5-7 FULL SIZE scoops in the cup, and my daughter estimated 8 scoops would fit. The spoon is cute…I mean, the ice cream “shovel”! The ice cream scooper is smaller than the average size scoop, and includes a trigger function that dislodges the ice cream from the scoop and into the cup. To be clear, I do think this cup would hold 5-7 full size scoops — and probably 12-14 scoops if you’re using the enclosed scooper. The cup shape hides the fact that this is a spacious bowl. The spoon quality is fine, and I’d consider the scooper to be of a mid-grade quality. It is not cheap, the metal is fairly thick, and I’d rate it about mid-way between the best of scoopers and the worst. Recommended for ice cream lovers. This also makes a great gift. ** NOTE ** this arrives in the original box, to which they simply adhere a label. If gifting to someone in the same household, know the box mentions “ice cream” on the outside of the box. It is well packaged and protected from breakage.
