  • NICE!
Style: Super Light
I have been using these for awhile. I like that the tension is balanced as well as the tone. These are not too bright, have a nice fat low end and they last. A good bass string.

  • My go-to string set
Style: Super Light
I’ve been using the 95-40 and 107-45 balanced tension D’addario strings on my 34” scale 4 string basses almost exclusively for quite a while now. They sound good, feel good, and have an average life span. Since I have several basses and am not currently gigging, I won’t speak to their longevity because I may not put as many hours on them over the course of, say, a month as others might. I got into balanced tension strings because I hate the way the D string always has way higher tension than the E and A in most normal string sets. Now, each string has a similar bendiness which I think makes the playing experience more enjoyable. I’ve never received a dead string from D’addario, either, and I’ve used their strings on probably 75% of the many basses I’ve had over the last 10+ years. ... show more

  • They are what the package says.
Style: Light
They are what the package says. I'd like them a little less bright; that will happen with a little age. I knew what to expect when buying them.

  • Very comfortable string's
Style: Light
I play up fretless jazz bass, My PJ base is Fretted, these are more comfortable than my usual medium strings. Great bargain for the money.

  • Good strings for the price, sound great
Style: Medium
Much better sound than I anticipated. Not too “tingy”, good warm tone. Not a lot of noise when I run my fingers down the strings. Good value!

  • Love These Strings
Style: Light
Personally I love these strings. They keep a nice even tension across all the strings on my Jazz basses. I would love to see them offer heavier string gauges in the Balanced Tension line.

  • Good Value for money
Style: Medium
Not bad, I'm using these on a medium scale bass tuned to C. The low string is fairly floppy and dead sounding, but that could be the shorter scale causing that.

  • Great sounding strings
Style: Light
Love the sound of the strings. My stepson recommended these strings. He plays professionally for a Nashville well known group and has preferred these for the last 17 years.
