  • Great for tuning down to C Standard!
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
After trying a few different brands of strings, D'Addario has become my go-to for quality, consistency and durability. I tune my bass down to C Standard and these strings are absolutely perfect for it! I've tried some other brands and they all felt too floppy, but these retain the feel, bounce and sound that you want when you tune down. ... show more

  • Boom!
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
Boom! This gauge rocks my bass. I modified my troy Sanders squire jaguar bass. Stripped out the weak active electronics and installed dimarzio p j pickups. Sounds better passive even with the stock light strings. Put these strings on, had to adjust bridge and truss rod, but holy smokes did this bass really come to life after switching to these strings. ... show more

  • The Best Strings
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
I’ve been using these strings for about a year. They work well for my drop tuning.

  • Fat tone and super tough
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
Excellent quality strings. They're super duty tough yet provide a deep and punchy sustain with a fat and powerful tone.

  • Best drop tuning strings ever. Even to Drop B
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
Strings stayed in tune & stayed taunt in drop C better than any others. Drop tuning all the way to Drop B they held firm with no flopping. Even the DR DDT 65-125 couldn't hold up to these in drop B and they were double the price! The DR DDT were like loose shoe strings. The Diaddarios 55-110 had a nice taunt bounce. ... show more

  • Nice sound. Wore too fast.
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
Nice, heavy sound, Nothing too easy to play or to slap to as expected from a heavy gauge string set. The sound was bright at first but faded surprinsingly fast (Now exchanging it after 6 months, I play twice a week). Exerything as expected.

  • Sound great
Style: Long Scale Size: Heavy, 55-110
Sound great, but the 3d string snapped. Have to buy a new one, oh well. I think I had put too much tension on it, it was too tight. I'm just a beginner bassist:).
