Our baby hated the DOONA but loves this car seat! It’s breathable and well vented so he can feel the AC. The angle is also excellent for him and it has a technology that adjusts the angle perfectly based on the child’s weight. Only downside is it does click when you brake and accelerate which wakes up the baby sometimes if he’s sleeping. ... show more

    • Don’t buy it if you have Land Rover (or a Tesla, or Subaru)

Really disappointed and aggravated with this product. The base doesn’t properly fit my Land Rover Defender 2024. The seat cushion of the Defender’s back seats is slanted backwards. This car seat’s base does not have enough of a wedge to offset that slant, and as a result it can’t be put into the correct recline position for a newborn. In fact it can barely be put into any appropriate recline position out of the “red” on the recline indicator. I read about people having the same issue in a Tesla, and one other reviewer here had the same issue with a Subaru. I have a virtual appointment with Cybex’s installation support but I doubt they would be able to fix it. Now I have to return it, and the cybex stroller I bought to go with it, and be back to square one. The photo shows the MAXIMUM recline i was able to achieve with this product.     • 360° Base Is a Game-Changer — Minor Fit and Fabric Issues
I’ve been using the Cybex Aton G with the 360° rotating base for about 7 months now, and overall, it’s been a great car seat. The rotating base is honestly the standout feature—it makes loading and unloading my baby so much easier, especially in tight spaces. I didn’t realize how much I’d appreciate it until I used it daily. Huge plus for convenience! The seat feels very secure, and installation with the base was quick and straightforward. I’ve always felt confident in its safety features, which was my top priority. However, there are two downsides worth mentioning after several months of use: - The seat is snug, even as my baby grows. It’s manageable, but it might not be the best fit for chunkier babies or those wearing thicker clothing. - The fabric started pilling earlier than expected—especially where the straps rub. I’ve been careful with cleaning and followed all the instructions, but the seat cover still looks more worn than it should for just 7 months of moderate use. Still, despite those issues, I’d buy it again for the safety and the rotating base alone. It’s made my daily routine a lot easier, and I do feel like my baby is well protected. ... show more
