Description

A compact UPS with standby topology, the CyberPower Ecologic EC450G provides battery backup (using simulated sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems. During power interruptions, the EC450G offers reliable power protection and battery backup. When the battery backup detects that the computer is off or in sleep mode, computer peripherals connected to the ECO Mode, surge protected outlets will be automatically turned off, reducing power usage and lowering energy costs (USB connection required). The EC450G comes with a three-year warranty (including coverage of batteries) and a $100,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee.

This has become a clunky surge protector for me. When there's an outage for more than 5 minutes, the pack emits an infuriating tone. When the power comes back on, the tone doesn't cease. It does work though. It kept my tv and computer on long enough to save my work and shut down. My electronics still work fine, so I guess the surge protector works. When the battery is dead, it doesn't immediately start recharging when the power comes back on. I wish there was a way to turn the backlit screen off. It has more bells and whistles than I’ve had before so make sure you keep the users guide nearby in case you need to take action but otherwise it just sits there doing it’s job. This is a pretty good UPS for the money. I use it on my TV and Internet router so I'm not connected to a computer. My warning to those of you purchasing a UPS is check the serial number after the unit arrives. WHY??? Well Amazon shows a 2 year warranty. CyberPower claims a 3 year warranty. The CATCH. CyberPower goes by the DATE the unit was manufactured. I just bought a new slightly larger (950W) from a local computer store. When I checked the new unit serial number that one expires in June of 2025!!! Three (3) years from today would be July 2026. ... show more
