Description

A mini-tower UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower PFC Sinewave CP1350PFCLCD provides battery backup (using sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems requiring active PFC power source compatibility. The CP1350PFCLCD features an advanced multifunction control panel with a color LCD to quickly confirm status and alerts at-a-glance. The screen tilts for easy viewing when the UPS is placed in a low position such as under a desk. The CP1350PFCLCD uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently. The CP1350PFCLCD comes with a three-year warranty (including coverage of batteries) and a $425,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee.

  • When the batteries become aged, the unit will turn off and kill power to your loads EVEN when the power is on!
Size: 1500VA
I used this for 3 years. It was a solid UPS that seemed to do all it was supposed to. Couldn't have been happier. Then I received error F03. This happens either when there is a problem with the charging circuit or the battery needs replaced. Ok. I cannot accept that. What I cannot accept is that when it has this failure, it disconnects the load. Everything is turned off. Completely stupid design and built in engineering flaw. Back to APC I go! When APC's fail, they keep the load connected to the utility power and just don't provide backup. Then you can buy batteries and off you go! Refuse to invest anymore into this faulty design. ... show more

  • Has A New Version Just Been Released?
Size: 1500VA
I purchased a CP1500PFCLCD UPS about 2 weeks ago and I liked it so much I decided to get another unit for a different room in my house. Upon opening and setting up the unit that I received today, I at first thought it was the wrong model. When I checked the box and sticker affixed to the UPS, I realized that it was the same model, but with an "a" designation after the model number, so this was a CP1500PFCLCDa. This new?, upgraded? model isn't even on CyberPower's web site, so I'm not sure what's going on, but I actually like this one better than my previous purchase. This new version has a 1,000 watt capacity versus the 900 watts of the non-"a" version. It also has 12 outlets, with six having battery backup, a full-color screen that's adjustable, one USB 2.0 port, one USB-C port and the ability to add an SNMP card for remote monitoring. WOW! As you can see in the attached photos comparing the two units, the front panel buttons have been moved around a bit and renamed, but you can still modify important parameters and mute the alarms. The fan seems to be just slightly louder and higher pitched when the unit is running on battery power, but both perform flawlessly, transferring from line to battery power instantly without any noticeable delay The only downside to this new version was that instead of putting it in the other room, I of course had to put it on my computer desk which weighs at least 8,000 pounds and moving it to access the wall outlet involved another round of pushing, pulling, and a few (ok, several) choice words... ... show more

  • Worked fine for awhile, but the warranty service is disappointing
Size: 1500VA
Worked fine for the first 2 years, but it failed while still under warranty. It started by going into a continuous beep on occasion, which could be stopped by resetting the unit, but soon the beeps happened more and more frequently until one day it just refused to do anything but the continuous beep even when reset. I was on hold for 25 minutes to reach tech support, and the tech immediately diagnosed the problem as a failed battery. He said it's not uncommon at all, and all we had to do was replace the battery. Easy enough, right? It's still under warranty. He'd email me an RMA. The RMA, however, requires me to send the entire unit back to them at my expense for exchange, and it says that then replacement will take 1-2 weeks. This is a *29 lb* UPS -- shipping is nearly $40. They know it's a failed battery, and the dead battery is of no realistic use to them, so why not just send a replacement battery? I feel that the only reason for this policy is to discourage people from actually *using* the warranty. They know that a replacement battery costs about the same as shipping, and that most people won't want to wait 2-3 weeks (initial shipping to them plus return time) to have a functional UPS yet again. Ideally, since they know it's a failed battery, all they need to do is ship a replacement battery out -- which Amazon can do yet today with 2-day shipping, if I want, or I could get one at Batteries Plus yet today. I'm very much not impressed and will probably get my next UPS from someone else. ... show more

  • Nice full sine wave AVR (see details). Recommended
Size: 1000VA
I hadn't realized how much I'd grown accustomed to having stable power, until I was no longer in Houston. While the new house has a generator and an ATS, it does not have a whole-house battery backup (to last through the generator firing, stabilizing, and the ATS actuating. Honestly, that's not that big a deal, as all of my server equipment is covered with a couple 2U UPSes. While that's helpful, I noticed that my DOCSIS 3.x cable modem takes FOREVER to sync. My feature list was simple: pure sine wave, line-interactive AVR, and decent runtime. I settled on the CyberPower CP1000PFCLCD. It's a bit of an overkill for a cable modem, a router, and a phone (to use with VoIP), but why not? While there are cheaper UPSes, most of them are square wave, or modified sine wave, and virtually none of the have AVR capability. AVR is important to me because the quality of my power is just as suspect as the frequency with which I lose it. Since the CP1000PFCLCD only costs about an Impossible Whopper meal more than a CP850PFCLCD, it seemed like a no brainer step-up. The unit has a display panel, surge protection, and a breaker. I did not use the RG-6 MOV protection, or the RS-232/USB comm link. Like other CyberPower products, the construction is pretty solid, with decent build quality. The unit is handsome enough, with a easily readable screen, and logical controls. The unit has a user-replaceable battery (part number RB1290), with both OEM and aftermarket options available. The OEM battery capacity is 12V at 9Ah, or 108Wh. I've had the unit kick in a number of times since I bought it, and have had no issues. In one instance, the unit ran all of the way down. Significantly, the UPS did not require a reset when line power came back on... that's not always the case with cheap UPSes.
