Price is reasonable. It has a nice design with a nice black finish-somewhere between satin and matte. Heats up fast. Easy to store. Dial settings not preset but manual control which I like. Being portable, I could put it where ever I want. I did experience a disappointing moment, however. I am a newbie to the glass stovetop appliances. I was unaware of how careful you have to be not to scratch the surface. I got minor scratch on the surface when I shuffled the pot during cooking. I was ready to send it back but decided to look up what customers have to say about other glass top cookware. After reading about glass top cooking surfaces from cooks that use them regularly this is a common situation and one must learn to live with being careful with these surfaces if you like to use them. I suppose it's like having a brand new car and you get freaked out with every little ding while using the car. There were various cleaning suggestions made on the internet and the scratch is signifantly reduced and now I don't pay attention to it as cooking on it functions so well for me. Live and learn. I normally use a 4 burner gas stove, one burner now no longer functions. I have roof solar panels and decided to use more electrical appliances for cooking, and this is the reason for my infrared portable cooking surface. My minor suggestion to the manufacturer is to put more emphasis in the pamphlet to take care not to shuffle the pots around while using the appliance for newbies like me. I give this cooktop 5 stars and 3 stars to me for learning experience. (And my cooking still could use a little more help-no stars yet.) ... show more

The writing faded after about 2 months it’s a guess and check game as to whether the hot plate is on or off. I just verify by increasing the temp. If the orange light doesn’t come on then I know it’s off. So not a huge deal for me. I use one burner more consistently than the other and it seems to have lost its luster after about 9 months. I like the burner for the price but because it stopped working, I bought a second with a warranty. I bought the same brand because it fits in a specific spot in my little camper. ... show more

The Cusimax Portable Electric Stove has been working great. I bought the jan 23,2023 and has been working great ever since. l use it every day because l'm having a gas problem. l will use it until they fix the gas problem.

Initially, it worked fine. I don't use this daily. In less than a year the temperature control broke. I like that it's ceramic and non-toxic. That in itself leans me towards purchasing it again along with the protection plan.

Are use this to cook fish in the garage because my wife cannot stand the smell of fish in the house. I’ve had it for over one year and I have had zero problems with it.
