I use a half in the morning and the other half at night for my 4 yr old son. He is autistic and was having painful bowel movements and constipation. I tried everything and nothing worked. He wouldn't eat any other medicines or remedies. Out of desperation, I tried Culterrelle for kids chewables. He wouldn't use the powder version. First, I was shocked he actually ate it. Second, it only took a couple days for his digestion to improve. He went from no bowel movements for over a week that were very painful for him-- to daily BMs that are softer for him to pass with no pain. We've been using it with out fail for about 7 months. Unfortunately I won’t be buying these again from Amazon. Some of the blister packs are broken and pills are discolored. Not the normal look of this probiotic.

My son loves eating them. I was initially very skeptical of this type of stuff and there was so much speculation surrounding probiotics and whether they work or not. My son's doctor had found C. Diff bacteria in his poop (most kids 2 and under actually carry it, but some it can cause a very serious infection, thankfully, that was not the case) and I think there was just enough excess to cause mostly runny poop and terrible smelling. I started googling what parents did for it and whatnot. A lot recommended probiotics. I finally caved and bought Culturelle Probiotics which are dairy free (my son has a dairy intolerance), and after a few days of consistently doing it, I saw a significant betterment in his poop. It become much more thicker and less stinky. Needless to say, I gotta believe all the hype about probiotics. They really work! Our pediatrician also says this is a really good brand, especially for kids with sensitivities. ... show more

I gave this to my 9-year-old and I've never seen a probiotic make someone so miserable... gave it a few days to see if it was the product or something else. Tried it myself with the same go distress results. Threw the rest of the package out.

Didn't work for my 9 year old daughter with Autism. She is chronically constipated and withholds poop for days. We tried this because it was recommended by the Autism moms I know. My son has been on miralax for over 4.5 years. I've tried a few times to get him off it unsuccessfully. I obviously don't want him on it full time but thought I had no choice. After a conversation with a friend about how it's probably not good for him to be on it (like I don't know that..) it got me re interested in researching some more natural methods. I started out with this brand of probiotics but the powder ones. I just didn't like keeping up with "did you finish your cup!?" And trying to remember if I gave him one that day. Has helped mild frequent abdominal pain with our child- probably mild constipation. I am a family practice provider. While studies have not shown huge benefit with probiotics, the likelihood of harm is very low. We all take them and I recommend them to patients.
