I absolutely love my Culligan Gravity Water Filtration Unit, and this filter is a major component of the unit. Without these filters there is no clean, filtered water. It is made to use 1, 2, or 3 filters at a time, so in using only one it will not filter as many gallons as using 3. We use 3 at a time, and keep track of how many gallons we are filtering so we can replace the filters at the appropriate time. Testing our water prior to using this filtration system, then after the first 2 cycles, which are thrown away as the filters are "broken in", showed a marked improvement in our water quality, reducing harmful chemicals that can be measured by a water tester. These replacement filters definitely do a great job, and we make sure to replace them after the suggested amount of gallons have been filtered through. Each individual filter replacement comes with a gasket at the bottom of it to fit snuggly in the hole at the bottom of the filtration unit, so they do not leak. Considering it is gravity flow filtering the gaskets are incredibly important to hold tightly or we could end up with a couple of gallons of water all over the floor. They are easy to replace at the end of their use, just take out the old one and put in the replacement, making sure it fits as snugly as the one taken out, and so far they always do. These replacement filters last for the suggested gallons filtered per individual filter or as a combination. They are quite pricey individually, but if multiples are purchased the price reduces per unit, and if added to Subscribe and Save the price comes down even more, and since they have to be replaced regularly it is worth buying more than one, and using the S and S option.

We have had our Culligan water filter system for about a month and a half, and we are loving it! At first, we only ordered one filter, and we decided it was filtering too slowly for our needs, so we ordered a second filter, and it made all the difference. It is definitely a financial investment, but completely worth it. We were ready to get rid of the plastic filters and pitcher, and feel so much better about the water we are drinking. It also looks great in our kitchen!

What started me down the path of water filtration was when I found our water was less than healthy. It frequently tasted and smelled bad. Other times the chlorine was all I could smell. I really don't trust our water, at all. As a result, we used water bottles for years. With all the microplastics, not sure that was better. I started using the Culligan gravity filtration system about 7 months ago. I followed the instruction and washed my filter with the included sponge, then let my water cycle through 3 times. I recommend filling the tank full for a full cycle. I filled my tank and was not too pleased to watched particles floating around in the tank. Happy to say, none of those made it through the filtration. After 3 cycles, I tested the water with a chlorine strip and the result was negative. The taste is incredible. People need to understand, this is not instantaneous filtered water. It takes hours to filter through but gets faster over time and the result is obvious. I fill my container before bed and I'm not waiting when I need it. I no longer need water bottles or to send my plastics to the trash heap. We use the water for drinking and cooking. This filtration system was a life saver. Really love it!! Highly recommended.
