The D-10A Basic drinking water replacement cartridge from Culligan can provide up to 3 months/ 250 gallons of refreshing drinking water by reducing chlorine, particulates and bad taste. Compatible with the US-550, SY-2000, SY-2100 and US-600A Culligan water filtration systems, this pair of filter cartridges features carbon-impregnated cellulose to makes sure that you and your family can enjoy great tasting water. This filter replacement is perfect for the water filtering system under your sink. From the Manufacturer Culligan D-10 carbon-impregnated cellulose cartridge 2 pack reduces chlorine taste, bad taste and odor. Filter life up to 3 months or 250 gallons and fits US-600 . The filter is a 5-micron (nominal) filtration cartridge to reduce sediment and dirt. This filter is ideal for undersink filter applications.

I have an old 2-stage (2 filters) inline Culligan H2O filter. Mine requires that one of these plus one (more expensive) D30A be replaced every six months. These Culligan filters are top quality. I have this installed in an under sink filter holder purchased separately. I live in Arizona where we have very hard water. I have a whole house water softener and carbon filters at points where I get drinking water. Seems to me that it works great and provides good tasting water. I'm not a water filter user by choice, I grew up drinking unfiltered tap water, and haven't ever cared to change. But when we bought our new house, it had an in-line filter installed. After six months, our water pressure dropped precipitously low and we realized that A) We had a water filter B) The filter needs to be changed A little research turned up the D-10A, which appears to be exactly what we needed. Installation is simple: shut off the water valve under the sink, run the faucet until the water stops, and unscrew the filter holder (be careful not to tip it and spill the remaining water). Toss the old filter out, put the new one in, turn the water back on and let it run for about 20 minutes or so (to clean out the filter). You should be good to go from there. It certainly brought our water pressure back, though I admit that I don't detect a huge change in the water's taste. I have to mark the dates of my filter installation to make sure I don't forget to swap them out - I've gone about six months without seeing the drop in water that caused us to realize we have a filter. These filters are hard to find in stores. Glad to find them on Amazon. I use my filtered water for the coffee pot and my iced tea brewer . They last about 6-8 months so they are a good deal.

This is an economy filter, but it gets the chlorine/chloramine taste out of the water. Valuewise, it's terrific. We've used a lot of filters (that cost more) that put a bitter plastic taste in the water. This filter puts no extra taste in the water. My wife has super taste buds and she likes this filter better than the $10 versions. The only downside is that we have to replace it every one to two months. ... show more
