I got this on a big savings day and I wasn't looking for one. We have a full size portable pizza oven for 18 inch pizzas that we love. Rolling dough, preheating, setup for the original turns it into a project...so it isnt a go to item always. This takes almost no space, is easy to set up and clean...and heats quickly. We buy Naan crusts for $1each at the grocery and keep them frozen in a ziploc. The same ingredients that you make sandwiches with make a great pizza. Rao sauce works great with pizza seasoning added. You can preheat it to 500F while you assemble the pizza on a separate sheet....in about the same time. You get better at refining your ingredients when you practice. Whatever you like on a sandwich works. Pre shredded cheese works too. ANYONE can make a fantastic pizza in 15 minutes with Naan and bottled sauce. It will be different than takeout...but just as good for 1/4 the price...and no driving. It's a no brainer. The only downside for me is the cover is a little too close to the pie. If you add a lot of toppings...it touches the coil. It's OK to touch the coil but not ideal. You won't regret this. The viewing window is a GREAT feature.

The media could not be loaded. This pizza maker is not the Pizano brand but works just the same. It will cook frozen pizza in 3-4 minutes. Comes out perfect and the crust is crispy. I used a pillsbury pizza dough and it also came out very well. You can’t do the self rising pizza because it will come very close to the heating element. I love it.

The other day I asked my husband what he thought I should make for dinner since our son was coming over. He said, “Make pizza, that’s easy.” It sure is easy for him as he sits on the couch and I make the dough, preheat our outdoor pizza oven, prep the pizza, bake the pizza, clean up the mess in the kitchen and clean up the mess outside. I said, “Pizza is easy for you but not for the person making the pizza.”…but then I saw this! This pizza oven reminded me of an indoor pizza oven my mom used to make pizza on in the kitchen. It wasn’t fancy but it was simple to use and baked up great tasting pizzas without using the oven. When I took this out the of box it was thicker than I expected. I followed the instructions for the initial preheat. In order to give this a 5 star review, a few things needed to happen with the first “bake.” I needed to be able to use a freshly made dough recipe. One was provided in the instruction manual so I used it, divided it in half and made two pizzas. I am familiar with pizza ovens and what I really like about this one is the two temperature controls, one for the lower element and one for the upper element. The glass top is great for seeing the “progress” of the bake. I preheated the oven (5 on the top and 5 on the bottom) and started to build my pizza on my pizza peel. It does take awhile to heat up but it is absolutely CRUCIAL to heat up the bottom element completely in order for the bottom of the crust to bake. For the first pizza, I put in the pizza and closed the lid. The heat settings were still on 5 for the top and bottom element. I set a 3 minute timer. When the timer went off, I rotated the pizza 180 degrees, closed the lid and started another 3 minute timer. I noticed that the top of the pizza looked perfect so I dialed the heat back for the top heating element to 3 but left the bottom element at 5. At the end of the total time of 6 minutes, I removed the pizza. I turned the upper element back up to 5 and started prepping the second pizza. I baked it the same way. I have to admit that I am impressed. While making pizza involves a bit of work, this oven simplifies the process by allowing me to prep, bake and clean up one pizza mess in my kitchen. As far as taste goes, I was very happy with the crispy crust and the top of the pizza was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this pizza oven.
