Powerful, easy to clean and comes well equipped for common uses. The dough paddle gets very close to the interior of the supplied bowl, leaving very little dough or other product to scrape out by hand. The big brother to a Cuisinart hand mixer that we have had and still use to this day for smaller tasks. Purchased that one about 50 years ago. The beige color has yellowed some but it still works perfect! I don't expect to be around to see is the stand mixer is still going strong in another 50 years. I purchased in red and it is beautiful. It is a heavy mixer well built and performs well. It is digital and it took me a little while to get used to that but I really like it now. When it starts mixing, it starts out on low and gradually builds up so that mixture doesn’t fly all over. It also has a guard for the top which I use and love. It comes with two bowls, Which was a surprise to me. I would recommend this for a purchase for yourself or as a gift. ... show more

I just bought this machine. The machine and all its stuffs were packed very well, arrived in a good, brand new condition, not even a dent. The mixer is higher the bottom of the bowl about a half of inch, and it rotates well around so it doesn’t leave things inside the bowl unmixed. I did made Vietnamese pork paste successfully this afternoon for the first time, a portion about 500 gram of pork. The noise level is acceptable because I had chance to hear the 5 quarts mixer of KitchenAid making dough, it’s noisy the same. The bowl is stable, the suction under it is good. The speed increases step by step with the rotate button, and the machine is off when it comes back to zero, there is no need a power switch. I like this machine, I bought it because I bought a Cuisinart 4 cup mini prep many years ago and it still works well, doing the chopping and grinding meat. And now I have one. I was focused solely on the KitchenAid, but after reviewing several other brands, I decided on this Cuisinart model. From the uses I have had with it so far, it does everything it was made to do, and looks good doing it, and at less costly than the former brand.     • Nice mixer with a couple of flaws

My Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer finally broke down, after countless batches of cookies and cinnamon rolls. Needing a replacement, I decided to go with the Cuisinart, even though it has a slightly smaller capacity. I am planning to get an 8 quart mixer in the near future, but figured this was a good stop gap. I was a bit concerned on how it would handle double batches of my cookie dough recipes. It actually did pretty good, with some possible concerns. The Good: It handled the dough fine, with some minor slowing at the lower end of the speed range. The paddle blade did a nice job of mixing all the ingredients. The blade has a better finish than the Kitchenaid, so it was much easier to clean off after mixing. The tilt head made it easier to use a spoon to check that all ingredients were mixed. The mixer is shorter than my Kitchenaid, so it does tuck away under my cupboards much nicer. The bad: The guard to keep the dry ingredients from flying out, is more decorative than functional. The slot is so narrow, that as much flour ends up on top of the guard, as it does in the bowl. You will need to pour very slow. The controls are at the back on the right side. It may seem to be convenient, but if you need to add ingredients while adjusting speed, you are out of luck. That is a big plus on the Kitchenaid, plus the lever as opposed to the dial on this machine is more convenient. The machine handled the dough fine, but the motor seemed pretty warm by the end. I have doubts this will last the 10 plus years of my Kitchenaid. Final thoughts: A very good value for the money. I bake in fairly large quantities, so I am pushing the limits of this mixer. If you do mainly single batches with an occasional double batch, this is a very nice mixer. ... show more

I did so much research before choosing this Cuisinart mixer. I didn't really want to spend more just to have a Kitchen aid smaller mixer. This was bigger size and looked just as nice. I don't regret it at all. I have used it at least twice a week to make flatbread for my kids. It saves me time and effort on baking. I look forward to making frosting with this. Previously I had only a hand mixer and that was definitely something that I will happily never have to do again!! I'm so glad I didn't spend that money just for the top brand name. ... show more
