Good features. Easy to setup and use. The coffee brewed tasted good. The water tank makes it easy to fill. I have had it two days and only have one issue with it. As you pour the coffee into a cup maybe due to a design problem a little coffee runs down the crafe onto countertop. I made sure lid was on correctly, but still same thing everytime. I like the coffee maker and will just have to get use to wiping countertop. ... show more

I love this Cuisinart model. I consider it an upgrade from the other ones in a similar price range. 1 - I love that It has a detachable water reservoir because you can clean it separately, you could see if there’s any particles floating in the water as opposed to the other models which you pour the water into a black abyss and you can’t make sense of what could be in the water. I like to see the water I’m using. However, this feature makes the depth of the machine longer than other models and makes it a little heavier. I bought a small thin plastic cutting board in grey and put it under the machine (not shown in my review pic), this way I could slide the machine out on the counter when I want to fill the water and not have to lift it up each time). 2 - I like that it has a swing out basket compartment because on the older models when the basket was in the same section as the black abyss water reservoir, if your hand jerks as you’re putting your scoops in,this will prevent you from accidentally getting any coffee grinds in the water reservoir, which then requires you to run a few clear cycles to make sure they’re all out. The swing out basket and the removable reservoir eliminates all those accidents. 3 - the pause feature seems very standard and for those who might be confused about it - you don’t hit a button to pause it. You just pull the coffee pot out and it stops brewing for 20 seconds. This allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the whole pot is finished brewing. 4 - another customer mentioned that the clock light goes out. This is true and why I did not give it 5-stars. I called Cuisinart about this. It's an energy saving feature. Sooo, the clock only stays on during the brew function. After it brews, it then displays the countdown to your Auto-Off timer. And then after auto-off occurs, the machine powers off and the clock display goes black. I told them a continuous clock feature if not what's draining energy (the coffee brew itself is where most of the power comes from). I also said nobody cares about seeing our Auto-Off timer - we just expect it to turn off for the time we set it. But people DO prefer to see a clock. And it also doesn't make sense because they finally mastered the look of the clock, it's vibrant and very clear. So they do that work just to not have the clock stay on continuously? lol. Makes ZERO sense. 5. - all of the other program features are the same as the other Cuisinarts, but it just takes getting used to working them with the knob and then you have to press on the middle of the knob to get the features to blink and then turn the knob again to get to the time you want or to change plate temp. 6 - the carafe does dribble. pour it slow. But I find that almost all coffee pots dribble in some way. 7 - the look of the machine itself is very nice. It gives off a higher quality look than the other Cuisinarts: 8 - the scoop on the side of the machine I don’t plan on using it because I have my own scoop that I keep in my coffee container but I can see how it’ll fall out if you use it daily, but I don’t plan on using mine so that’s a non-issue Overall, I’m very happy with this model and I like it better than all the other Cuisinarts I’ve had before but they dropped the ball on the clock feature! ... show more

Replaced a very old Mr Coffee with this Cuisinart, it makes good coffee. I like that the swing out compartment for the coffee grounds is convenient & I like the detachable water reservoir. I live in an older home where the cabinets sit low so these options make coffee making easier. I do have to pull unit out from underneath the cabinets while brewing, due to the vent on top of machine where the steam comes out. I keep machine on top of an extra granite cutting board I had to make for easy sliding. Haven't tried the iced coffee option yet but will soon. ... show more

I am pleased with the coffee maker itself. Easy to use. Makes a good cup of coffee. The reason for the 4* review is the measuring spoon on the side of the machine. Any movement of the machine causes the spoon to fall off. It seems that would be an easy fix of the design; to have the spoon snap in place. ... show more
