    • Great logbook with some options for improvement
Great book! I've been using it since April of 2023 once I earned my Part 107 and I've been flying since November of 2022. Pros: it has everything one would think they need for a proper log book if the gov man came-a knocking - dates, times, weather conditions, pre-flight, post-flight, sessions, etc. Right now, specifics are limited but this book covers topics that may come up if required by the FAA: Part 107.5 (a)(2); Part 107.7; Part 107.9 - Safety event reporting (this is a big deal so tracking in a log book is handy); Part 107.15 (a) - Condition for safe operation (pre-flight tracking); Part 107.21 - In flight emergency (I had one yesterday 13 June 23 so I tracked it in the logbook); Part 107.49 - Pre-flight familiarization. As you can see, there are a few Part 107 sections that touch on items covered in this log book so it is a great tool to have for "compliance", but it will also benefit you if you market your services as a commercial operator to show those who are considering hiring you that you are responsible and "know your stuff" (or at least document that you know your stuff). Not a con but improvement: 1) It would be nice if the cover of the book had a book start date and a book end date. Like a traditional flight log, I would like to track the dates in which this log book covers. Right now I have scribbled in permanent marker "22 November 2022" and it looks crappy so having a start and end date field would look more professional. 2) The flight log # in the top right is handy, but my drone tracks each flight as it's own log. I've found a way around this by numbering my flight logs as "181" but my LOG # in the center of the book shows "181A, 181B, 181C" etc. It would be nice if the top right flight log # was "Session Log" or something similar. 3) The biggest item I think this book lacks is "Total time" and "Total flights". I like to keep a rolling record of how many hours I have in total flight time and how many flights I have in total, but there is no spot to log this. I have it written in the postflight section but if that fills up, I scribble it in the margins. It would be nice to track totals and, again, my flight logs are not indicative of total flights so I just hit "Log #181D" but my total flights to date is "208 flights" and "24 hours 35 minutes". All in all, you can't beat the price and the record keeping. I thought about making my own but this looks and feels professional. When it gets full I'll order another one. :-) ... show more

Love this book, have used it a number of times. Just wish it was more durable or at least had a hard cover.

This is what my log book looks like after less than two months of use, a few times per week. The binding seems dry, for a lack of a better word. The pages are just all falling out at this point. I’ll have to retire it, sadly.

    • A good choice
I spent a lot of time looking at log books, including spreadsheets, and decided to just get this one. It's really the best one I've found for the price.

    • I really like this log book
The first one I received looked like it had been ran over and sat on a shelf for a few years. I asked Amazon for a replacement and had it 2 days later. The new one is new, so very very happy. The log book is extremely detailed, or at least, as much as you're willing to put into it. It can easily support multiple drones and types of flights/missions. I hope this is available for years to come. ... show more
