  • Great set of pans!
Excellent stainless steel pans. These replaced some old ones I previously used. I love the non-stick coating as well. I recommend this product.

  • Top of the Line Skillets with Glass Lids
These skillets with lids are not just for the gourmet cook! I do an average amount of basic cooking for my family. Nothing fancy. I was looking for cookware with glass lids so I could see when food was boiling as well as when it was getting dry and needed liquid added. I wanted long term durability and a nonstick coating that didn’t have PFAS. These skillets checked off the boxes and more! They are sleek, elegant skillets sized 10” and 12” made of durable stainless steel and covered with a ceramic nonstick coating. I liked that the handle stays cool while cooking on the stove and they can be put in the oven up to 500 degrees. The lids are oven safe up to 450 degrees. The skillets also lend to searing meat which will be so helpful when grilling season is over and meat is cooked indoors. These are scratch resistant and can be placed in the dishwasher. The description stated that metal utensils could be used with these skillets, but the manufacturer’s directions on the enclosed card stated to only use wooden or nylon utensils. I personally would not risk the beautiful finish with metal utensils. These two skillets with glass lids are excellent quality from a trusted brand. ... show more

  • I like ceramic non-stick skillets
I have several from a different brand and I love them. They cook and release foods quite well and cleanup is a breeze, although you can't use metal utensils. These Cuisinart non-stick skillets are different, and I'm a little confused by the description. Are they coated with ceramic and then a more traditional non-stick later is put over this? And then there's some kind of stainless steel interwoven with this. And supposedly you can use metal utensils on it. I'm fairly convinced traditional ceramic coatings don't release anything bad into my food, but I'm less confident about this FusionPlus, since I don't quite understand it. It looks quite pretty and snazzy and it sautes and cleans up well. And it's really convenient that you can throw these in the dishwasher. And this set comes with glass lids! Yay! The only negative about the lids, from my point of view, is that they do not have steam holes. I prefer lids that have those little round holes for ventilation so that whatever you are cooking stays at a proper simmer. I find that they do not cause enough evaporation to negatively affect whatever I am cooking, but do allow just enough pressure release to keep the cooking temperature even. I find these especially helpful when cooking on induction, which tends to cause heat surges. I was unclear from reading the description whether these would work on induction burners, but they do. Don't let the description of an aluminum-clad bottom leave you in doubt about that.. As far as being non-stick, I would say these compare more to traditional ceramic-coated pans than traditional non-stick ones. This is not a slick surface, and it's not ideal for cooking with small amounts of fat. If you preheat it like they recommend, and use some oil or butter, the food releases relatively well. Truthfully, I either use a fair amount of fat for sauteeing or I cook in liquid, so this works fine for me. But if you like teflon skillets and are looking for a replacement for that, you might not like these. For my purposes, a set containing 8" and 10" skillets would be more useful. As this set contains 10" and 12" ones, it's probably more suited to families. Singles and couples don't have much use for 12" skillets, although if you are going to get a set that contains one, you definitely want it to have a lid. Most of what you cook in larger volume will require one. And these are oven-safe up to a good temperature. It's rare that I would cook something over 425 F, so the fact that the lids are only heat-resistant to 450 F is just fine for me. I think they are a decent, althought not great, value for the money. I can't tell yet how durable they will be. ... show more

  • Not your typical non stick, very nice quality.
We have been using various kinds of nonstick cookware for many years now and the constant replacing gets annoying, so this FusionPlus Nonstick Stainless Steel Cookware Set from Cuisinart is definitely a step up from our teflon pans. This set includes two skillets with lids in 10" and 12" sizes. There is a lot to like about these pans. The lids are thick and durable, but more importantly clear glass, which is going to be a great help considering my lack of talent at the stove. I also like that the handles stay cool, so my forgetful husband will not have to remember to grab the oven mitt any longer. The most unique thing about them is the way that the stainless steel is in a high relief pattern, which is meant to protect the nonstick interior and help it to last longer. This actually allows the pan to sear meats efficiently, which is something our teflon pans could never do, so I love this feature! I also love that the pans are oven safe up to 500⁰ F, since I've been wanting to try some new recipes that require putting the pan into the oven. The skillets heat evenly and are so easy to clean that I have not bothered with putting them in the dishwasher, though they are dishwasher safe. They appear to be well built and feel very sturdy with a good amount of weight, but they are not so heavy that they are cumbersome to use. So far we are very pleased with how well they perform, and I expect that they are going to be longer lasting then the inexpensive pans we've been using. Currently these skillets are selling for $149.95, and because I expect that we will have them for several years I consider the price to be reasonable. Really could not be happier with them! ... show more

  • Hybrid pans work as expected
These are hybrid non-stick/stainless pans featuring raised stainless ridges and ceramic non-stick valleys. This prevents the pan from having a smooth finish and catches food debris and is slightly harder to clean than either a standard non stick or stainless pan. Performance is good, with consistent heat through the bottom of the pan. Only the bottom is built for use, as the sides are typical low cost thin single layer stainless steel. Both the pans and lids are rivetted together, making clean up much easier than screwed together pans. Overall these pans perform adequately. ... show more
