Description

Size:8-Cup Now making the perfect rice dish is easy with the brushed stainless Cuisinart Rice Cooker. Its steam vent helps to prevent splattering, while its chrome-plated handles stay cool to the touch. Use the built-in tray to steam other foods while the rice is cooking; when you're done, the non-stick coating and durable construction make cleanup a breeze. Healthy cooking and sleek modern design meld in this rice cooker from Cuisinart. Finished in a handsome brushed stainless steel, the square cooker features rounded corners, chrome-plated handles, and a glass lid with a stainless rim, chrome knob, and steam vent hole. Inside you'll find a high- quality, stainless-steel steaming basket and a nonstick cooking bowl that produces 8 to 15 cups of rice. The cooker also steams vegetables and thin cuts of meat, creating a complete, fat-free meal with little effort. Besides various types of rice, the cooker cooks couscous, polenta, oatmeal, boiled eggs, shrimp, and much more. An included booklet presents gourmet recipes for such mouth-watering meals as Creamy Parmesan Risotto with Asparagus, and Teriyaki Steamed Chicken with Cranberry Wild Rice. Cuisinart gives this upscale rice cooker extra panache with a cord that pulls out and then retracts for storage. One lever is all that's required to flip the machine on. Two different colored LED lights illuminate, one during the cooking phase, and the other when the machine automatically switches to warm when cooking is done. Included with the machine are a textured plastic paddle for stirring and serving, and a plastic measuring cup calibrated specifically for rice. All the unit's removable parts are dishwasher-safe. The cooker measures 9 by 9 by 10 inches, and is covered by a three-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

  • No spill!
Size: 4-Cup
To all the people comlaining about the water spilling over, just like in the video the guy posted below. You don't put the lid directly on top. You still need to put the steamer pot on top even when you're not using it.

  • Not what I ordered.
Size: 4-Cup
This was advertised as a NEW rice cooker. What I received was battered, used, and dirty. This is such a disappointment. The actual heating pad had burn marks, the lid had residual water stains from previously cooking rice, and the bowl had scratches all over it.

  • Recommended!
Size: 4-Cup
I was tepid to buy after reading other reviews, but I did anyway. I followed the instructions that came with the unit, and surprise, lol it worked as described. Absolutely no mess at all, nicely cooked rice. Very easy to add in herbs, etc to flavor the rice more too. I really don't understand how people are making such a huge mess. Just read the booklet and follow the instructions. ... show more

  • Cuisinart vs Hamilton Beach rice cooker
Size: 4-Cup
I bought both the Cuisinart and the Hamilton Beach (cheaper). Cooked rice in both of them to compare. The Cuisinart cooked a cup of rice in about 15 minutes. The Hamilton Beach in about 30 minutes. I believe due to the hotter cooking temperature of the Cuisinart, water boils more violently thus cause the steam to splatter (Cuisinart has a direct glass lid which has a hole in it for steam to escape, but when there were too much steam, the hole could not handle and cause steam to escape everywhere. The Hamilton Beach has a locked lid, so steam would be channeled to the capturing cup on the side instead of splattering around the lid. Each model has its own advantages. The Cuisinart has a see-through glass lid which, has a nicer stainless steel chassis, a simple Cook or Heat latch, and cooks faster. The Hamilton Beach has a locked lid so steam doesn't splatter, comes with 5 control modes (white rice, whole grain, Hot Cereal, Steam, Warm) and a time-display window. The keep warm feature on both are too warm, so they share the same disadvantage. My wife decided to keep them both. The Hamilton will be used mainly for cooking rice, while the Cuisinart will be used for cooking other dishes (vegetables,..) since she can see what going on thru the glass lid. ... show more

  • Clean up is fast and easy. Would recommend to anyone
Size: 4-Cup
Originally I was nervous about purchasing this product because I saw a lot of reviews stating that the rice/water always bubbles over onto the counter and left a starchy mess. I read a tip somewhere to leave the steamer basket on top of the rice cooker (with the lid on) even if you’re not steaming anything to prevent spill overs...and I have never had a single mess. This product makes consistently delicious rice and grains and couldn’t be easier to operate. Clean up is fast and easy. Would recommend to anyone. ... show more

  • Mess maker
Size: 4-Cup
The media could not be loaded. Despite glowing reviews, I offer a contrarian view .... It boils over and makes a huge mess, which is precisely what we hoped to avoid when we bought a rice cooker. Our water is soft, so I tried bottled water. No effect. I thoroughly washed the rice before cooking it. No effect. Followed the directions to the letter. No effect. My advice: my the largest size even if you're only cooking 1 cup of rice. Perhaps the extra head space will make a difference. ... show more

  • La misma de siempre!! ♥️
Size: 8-Cup
Excelente calidad!! 👍🏼 ... show more

  • Do not buy!!! Makes a huge mess
Size: 4-Cup
I should have known better.... I read the reviews and should have heeded their warnings. I looked up the unit on several sites and watched YouTube videos before purchasing I used the unit 3 times with absolutely no issues, it cooked the rice almost beautifully except the bottom slightly brown. I followed the included recipe book to make sure I was measuring accurately. 4th time was an absolute nightmare and my countertop and unit was a complete mess. Of course it was a week after the return window. I just made another batch again tonight (5th batch ever) hoping it would be okay with just 1 cup of rice, nope, complete mess. I'm posting tonight's pictures. Save your money and buy another unit. ... show more
