Just did the several practice pieces of bread to toast in this - to get rid of the toxic smell and get ready to make toast I can eat. I see already it will be an issue to get two slices nicely brown. Without re toasting the same slices. Fiddling with the dial. And cleaning not simple. Moderately difficult to get crumbs out the way the trap door slides out but keeps crumbs in. Good looking toaster. Slots wide enough for my Ezekiel bread. Hopefully for their muffins too. And bagels. Will try those this next week or so to see if this is a keeper. Or an exercise in frustration lol. I really want to like this toaster. But it does appear it will take some getting used to. And maybe not release all the crumbs as easily as I would prefer. ... show more

    • Actually toasts whole wheat bread

Trying to get a toaster to toast whole wheat bread and turn it light brown with out doing it twice. We rented a house and they had this toaster and it finally made toast. My only complaint is is doesn’t buzz or let you know when toast is done. Easy to live with.
