Well, I was able to assemble it but it took a bit of work. I've had better instructions on other products, but it was doable. The wheels could be a bit larger as it's pretty difficult to move with a full propane tank inside. Just note that it is a very heavy unit so moving it around takes some strength.

We use this under a deck and it can get quite warm. Rather than using the small cartridges, we purchased a large canister so they travel together. I also purchased the cover. Starting it can be tricky at first. Read the instructions literally. My partner has no issue but I am still learning the technique. Basically, hold into position until it lights then back off. I am still a bit confused if you hold it pushed in or …. play around with it.

I love chimineas, but wanted something I could use that wouldn't smoke for a covered patio. I LOVED this product (in theory). I decided to bite the bullet and buy it anyway, despite the negative / critical reviews. I was tracking its price and saw it go really low earlier this fall so I jumped at the chance to pick it up. It definitely wasn't easy to put together. You need to 2 people, one to make sure that pieces line up and are held in place and the other to actually use the hardware to assemble. I didn't have a big issue with holes not lining up, needing to drill new holes - everything went together for the most part smoothly. If anything, some of the angles were really difficult because of how the thing goes together. I needed to get out my shortest screwdriver and put my arm / wrist / hand into some funky positions to get it all done. I did have one issue of things not fitting together - The decorative silver bar around the flame just wasn't shaped correctly. Everything fits together but one area, where I couldn't even bend the thing into shape to screw it in. (see photos). It isn't really noticeable, so it isn't a deal breaker in my opinion. It also arrived scuffed up. Packaging didn't really keep it from scraping up against itself while in transit. I also have some pretty big scratches / rust marks on the front of the base, which is pretty annoying. It's going to live outside and continue to get used / beat up. But it would have been nice to keep it pristine for as long as possible. So far my biggest issues are related to its mobility. There isn't a good way to pick the thing up and move it around. I don't want to leave it out all the time, I need to store it for the winter, etc. Because of its shape, there isn't really any natural handles or anything. It's also made out of really thin materials. This helps make it lighter, but I think the quality really suffers for it. I am going to see if I can replace the feet it came with with some locking casters so at least it is on wheels.

My twin nephews (10 yrs old) helped me assemble this. I had two goals in mind: 1) to see how adept they are at problem solving. And, 2) See just how easy it was to assemble. Both were achieved. It was easy to assemble. They could tell by the shape of the parts where and how everything went together. Heat output is fine. Just enough for taking off the chill of those cooler evenings. In comparison to others like it on the market, I like the appearance of this one the best. I also bought the OEM vinyl cover for it. Very nice addition. I would recommend both to anyone. The heater and cover that is.

Several reviews talk about this being difficult to assemble. I figured I've only got to do it once, how bad can it be? For me, assembly was fairly easy. Probably 40 minutes altogether. The instructions are decent, not as good as you'd like, but it's doable without too much stress or profanity along the way. It gets nice and hot, looks cute, and doesn't take up too much space. Also a great height for use with standard Adirondack chairs.
