I got my first set of these knives four years ago for my home kitchen, and I loved them so much that I bought another set for my RV. That set has held up beautifully for nearly two years now. While there are a few tiny cracks around the rivets, they still look amazing and show no signs of rust. None have fallen apart, either. I usually hand wash them, but they’ve accidentally gone through the dishwasher a few times and came out just fine! ... show more

This is a great knife set to start with. I purchased the white and silver knives and I love the look of them. They all came packaged and wrapped separately and you have to put them into the knife holder yourself. I had no missing pieces and everything looked to be in great condition. There are some knives included that you may not use as often, but that comes with buying a knife set, instead of buying them individually. All the knives are very sharp and they slice through things easily (so be careful!). Even the scissors included are sharper than many kitchen scissors and I’ve used in the past. All of them also feel heavy and of good quality, not cheaply made, although the price is very affordable! ... show more

These knives are sharp and work well. Four of the chopping and cutting knives have cracks in the handles only after six months. We never put them in the dishwasher. They are hand wash only. The steak knives haven’t cracked yet. For the price I guess I’m somewhat not surprised but I don’t understand if I’m taking care of them like they say to in the instructions, why are the handles cracking? ... show more

As usual Cuisineart delivers an excellent product at a very affordable price. These knives come razor sharp right out of the box and have a beautiful appearance. The steel has held up well against tougher substances such as dried sage with minimal loss of sharpness. The sharpener that comes with it is also very good, I touched up my pocket knives with it and it brought them back to a sharp edge in just a few minutes. Absolutely recommend, I generally purchase chefs knives in the range of $250-1000+ and find these to be easily on par with knives in the $300 range. The value is unparalleled. ... show more
