If you have a solid maine coon mix, even if they're under the 16lb beware they're likely going to pretty well fill up the backpack. So if they are wary of small spaces, don't get this one. But otherwise it's a nice backpack. My 13lb boy fit in there but I know if my 15lb'er was still alive, no way.

This is a nice backpack, but it is large. I bought this for my kitten, and it is just too big. If I put my big cat in it, it would not be comfortable for me to lift and carry. It's a good item, though, just not for my cats right now.

I got this to take my ferret to the vet. I was a bit concerned when it arrived all folded up but as soon as I put the fluffed cushion in it, it was perfect. It was spacious enough to layer a thick baby blanket in it when I took my ferret to the vet along with a couple toys. I dont care much for the shoulder strap but the handle was comfortable. My Stitch even took to sleeping in it while healing from his procedure. My only advisory would be that this is not meant for bigger animals. I honestly don't see how a cat would be comfortable in it. I have a ferret and it was a good size. I advise this only for other small animals/mammals ... show more

This is the perfect small pet carrier. I picked it particularly for the soft, cozy bed that's inside. I was able to add some hot hand packs for my beardie's first trip to the vet and she stayed nice and calm.
