Great build quality and sound for a shallow mount 10in. I’m sure this thing really has a lot of potential in the right box but I had to use the smallest box I could find since I installed this in a Kenworth dump truck. I’ve owned multiple subs and never noticed a difference after a break in but this thing continues to get better with time. Sounds ok installed in the same place as a stock subwoofer in 2014 jeep grand cherokee. have a rockford fosgate r2-1200x hooked to it turned down though it holds the power just fine. plastic box stock is not the best though.

I have two wired together at 1 ohm and connected to a 1000w RMS mono amp. These have been doing nicely in my shallow mount box! I wanted to find some speaker grilles to protect them. I had some trouble finding a matching size, but I did eventually find some that worked out. Overall these sound great! 1997 Mountaineer with a later year 8" factory subwoofer enclosure. Although I can't compare to a factory setup since mine did not come from the factory with a sub, I can guarantee the oem didn't sound this good. The screw holes line up to oem, the depth is perfect and the face does not protrude too far out. I am powering it with a baby kicker amp that only puts out 140W RMS @4ohm but WOW it easily overpowers the door speakers and still sounds sharp and clean. I am in the process of properly tuning everything but this was really just supposed to compliment the tiny 6x8 doors which distort very easily with bass but it has such a punch to it it really pushes the system to another level of enjoyment. 100% recommend for upgrading any factory 8" subwoofer system. ... show more
