Great build quality and sound for a shallow mount 10in. I’m sure this thing really has a lot of potential in the right box but I had to use a 0.47cu ft box since I installed this in a Kenworth dump truck with very little room. I listen to it pounding all day 10-12hrs a day powered by a ct sounds 400.1d compact amp with no issues. Will definitely buy agin for future projects. Update: So I’ve had this thing about a year now and have tried a sealed and ported 0.47cu ft box and the sealed just really didn’t impress me. I had a cheap all in one 10in sub/amp combo that was actually louder but blew in a month. So I tried the ported version of that box and it really was a lot louder but then I had a lot of port noise and it just didn’t sound clean. I just upgraded to the Q power 0.75 cu ft slot ported box which is still smaller than what ct sounds recommends but literally the biggest box I can fit and damn it sounds good! Feels like I’m listening to a completely different setup and I’m extremely happy with it now. I drive 65hrs a week and this thing never stops I’m bumping all day everyday! I’ll admit I was sending clipped signals to it because with the other boxes just didn’t produce much bass when I set gains with oscilloscope and this subs still pounds and sounds great. ... show more

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JKU) Rubicon with the stock subwoofer enclosure. This speaker will not fit without trimming the subwoofer enclosure opening about 3/8" all the way around. Depth is fine. However, there isn't enough air space to generate solid bass. It isn't a speaker issue but an enclosure issue. More air space would definitely help this speaker deliver on bass. Good luck finding a protective grill for it, though. I reached out to CT Sounds directly asking for suggestions. They had none. Seems strange but, ok. I haven't found one that will fit yet. I took a photo of the issue. Other grills attach around the sub but there isn't space for that on the Jeep's enclosure. ... show more

Good so far! Wired it parallel to 2 ohms. It's it a shallow box and sounds good, but would definitely sound better in a slightly bigger box. Installed about two weeks ago so we'll see if it lasts! Oh and you may have to open you box hole up some depending on the box as these have slightly bigger frames. I had already opened mine up, just used a jig saw and only had to give it about 1/8th all the way around. I had to get adjust my tuning some because this had a lower sensitivity than my infinity ref1000s ... show more
