I was skeptical at first and hesitant to buy these subs, but I'm glad I did. Ive had them in now for a couple of weeks and I've had my amp turned down to break them in slowly. Im glad I did. They sound amazing for their slim size and are pretty loud. I have them in a box behind my seat that has .97 cubic feet of air space per speaker. I had two 12-in kickers in a box in my 2010 Titan. I needed to reclaim some space and I built two separate boxes, one to contain all the amps and DSP. And one small sealed box for the sub. I wired it down to 1 ohm because this is a 2 ohm unit and my monoblock amp handles it just fine. This is a wonderful musical base and it actually sounds better than my two old 12s If you're in the market for something and you need something with a less deep profile would have a hard time recommending anything but this. I put this and a Plinius 1000 watt monoblock amp in my single cab S10 and Im blown away. This is an incredible sub. I can't recommend it enough and I am a new CT Sounds fan! I am already looking into other CT subs and amps for my other projects.

Thought I would try one of these in place of my Skar VD-10. Quality is alright but the VD hits harder, sounded better and takes more power. The CT shallow is decent, but for hits application the Skar VD is a better choice.

Great build quality and sound for a shallow mount 10in. I’m sure this thing really has a lot of potential in the right box but I had to use a 0.47cu ft box since I installed this in a Kenworth dump truck with very little room. I listen to it pounding all day 10-12hrs a day powered by a ct sounds 400.1d compact amp with no issues. Will definitely buy agin for future projects. Update: I had this thing bumping 60+hrs a week for over a year and it never missed a beat! I recently upgraded and sold this subwoofer to my buddy and he put it in a larger box and it sounds even better than the small boxes I had it stuck in. I’ve been very impressed with ct sounds and will continue to purchase in the future. I have a 12in ported sundown in my car and this sub doesn’t even come close to that but for everyday use in a truck that had no bass this thing made me for than happy! Highly recommend ... show more

I would not recommend ct sound to anyone. I ran these for a couple days and they both cracked the exact same way. They sounded great, was actually surprised by the sound quality and volume. But ct needs to figure out some other material for their cones.

Nice shallow mount subwoofer. Handles 600 watts no problems! Bass is somewhat limited due to the tight box its in due to space. Probably would sounds a bit better it a bigger air space box.

This is one of the best built subwoofers I've seen. It gives my Sequoia the boom it deserved after the old jbl just died. Luckily it wired up easy offers smooth bass on most actives. It looks great and sounds great.
