I bought the silver one and added the crystals (already had some leftover from another "project") and a color-changing light bulb. This way I could make it look whatever color I wanted, so what you see pictured is not what it looks like out-of-the-box. It's clear just like in the photos, but I wanted to add my own touch. It was not hard to assemble (and I am not good at assembly). I like the switch. It sits on the floor and you can manually turn it off/on with your foot or hand, so it's convenient. It's pretty sturdy. The base has weight, so it's not top-heavy and likely to fall over. So far, I have not had any issues with it falling over, but it is not in a high-traffic area. Since I used a color-changing bulb, the brightness varies, but it is bright when using a standard bulb. It's good for a bedroom/office. I think it's too small for a larger room, but that's just my opinion. ... show more

BEAUTIFUL, stylish and STURDY lamp. The “crystals” are plastic and are not glass, but they are visually STUNNING! So aesthetically, it’s quite deceiving! The base is very heavy, which is a good thing! This helps it to feel very sturdy, and so I’m not worried about it tipping over at all. I picked out this lamp in part due to how slender it looked. We have a tight corner in our finished basement where a lamp could go and this slender lamp looks great there. It doesn’t take up a lot of space since the design is basically straight up and down. This lamp fits the bill for anyone with tight spaces. The ceiling in our finished basement is probably just about 7 feet tall and the lamp’s height was also a perfect fit standing at a little over 5 feet tall. I only wish there was an option for the switch light to be reachable by hand, like maybe under the lamp shade or even at the midway point of the lamp pole. Instead, the only way to turn this on & off is the “step on” button using your feet that is attached onto the electrical cord which drapes on the floor. Due to my living space layout, it’s not ideal to maneuver to get down to the floor where the button is since it’s already a tight space. Obviously you can still bend down to the floor and use your hands to press the button, but I don’t bend as easily and get backaches at my age, so it’s less than ideal. However, I could live with maneuvering around to step on the button for now. Overall, I’m very happy, and down the road I may purchase a 2nd one for the bedroom. ... show more

Very pretty and well made. The pole is strong and straight which is sometimes a problem with floor lamps. The base is very heavy but a small footprint and the lampshade also doesn't take up a lot of head space. Needed it for a small guest area for my granddaughter so it's the perfect size. I think it might get lost in a large space. The beads are plastic off course but look very pretty. Great value for the price.
