  • Must have for curved screens
Style: XTR Pattern Name: Screen Protection Size: GS22 Ultra
After trying the fancy tempered glass shields, and them subsequently cracking on the sides because I have a curved screen and literally looking at it wrong will make it crunch, I decided to go back to my true and trusty Zagg shield. Ever since the galaxy S3, I had been faithful; never again will I stray and be tempted by the shiny sparkly others. Back in the day, Zagg shields used to be a real pain to install (WORTH IT but a pain), with the spray and such. I worked for a retailer that would install them for a fee, and I can't tell you how many we used to go through screwing up the process just barely. However, they have done away with the adhesive spray with this model, and I am LOVING the install tray which makes everything so much easier. Seriously the whole process took maybe 3 minutes, and that was just because I kept being way too analytical about every little speck of dust. They included a really nice dust removal sticker, which does not leave any residue behind, it's truly just a sticky piece enough to snag dust and that's it. The best part is, as has been the case with all Zagg shield now and past, if you register your shield with them (also takes literally 2 min) then your shield is guaranteed for life for as long as you have the phone. I have had to "claim" this before, not from product failure just normal use, and Zagg is a delight to work with. Always been fast to process. I have never not been happy with any Zagg shield, and am still annoyed I was convinced to try something else for my new phone. Lesson learned! Finger Print Reader Note: It is not as super sensitive as tempered glass shields, and that's OKAY. the Fusion XTR curve shield still does an amazing job reading my finger print. On the S20 Ultra I had to push kind of hard for it to read, and with this new updated version for the S22 ultra it has made vast improvements. I still needed to push a *little*, but it's normal pressure vs. tempered glass having to barely exist to read. Quite honestly, I prefer having to press a little, it doesn't open on accident just by existing (which was starting to become a problem with the tempered glass screen pretty quickly, from how I hold my phone normally while not using). Install recommendations: 1) Be in a well lit room, on a flat surface like a desk or table, without clutter around (the dust particles, think of the dust!). Turn your phone off, you'll accidentally keep hitting a button that wakes the screen up otherwise and us ADHD kids can't handle those distractions in a high focus situation. 2) If you have access to canned air, USE IT. You know, the can of cold air with the little straw, that kids used to think you could get high off of in the early 2000's (or maybe that was just my school system, public city school for the win...). That can of air. If you are super impatient, and cannot handle even the tiniest specs of dust, this will save your soul. 3) Be careful when you peel the first layer off of the shield, to expose the sticky side. If you are too aggressive, you start peeling the other side off instead, so just chill and be gentle. Be careful to only touch the ends that have the holes in them once the sticky is exposed, and PAY ATTENTION to where the camera hole is! 4) When it's in the pegs, start the squeegee in the middle, and firmly push into the shield at an angle while swiping one way. Don't crush your phone under the strength of Thor, but don't pretend like you're handling a hummingbird. Approach with the strength of slight annoyance after just reading an email from someone that you CLEARLY answered their question already in a previous email and are about to respond with "PER MY LAST EMAIL". Turn phone, do the same the other way. Swipe the squeegee along the curved edges. Remove from tray, swipe squeegee along to finish up and push any bubbles out. Let it rest for a hot min before turning back on and before putting the case back on. *This might be an archaic caution from way back in the day, but I like to have the phone screen on for about 20 min before I put the case back on. It used to help set the adhesive back when it relied on the spray, and while it probably isn't necessary anymore, it hurts absolutely no one to wait a little longer to be safe :) ... show more

  • Went on easily*, looks & feels fantastic
Style: Fusion Pattern Name: Screen Protection Size: GS22 Ultra
I say easily* because I think it does take a tiny bit of skill to make it perfect. I wouldn't expect someone who has never applied one before to make it perfect but with just the tiniest but of skill it was pretty easy. Took a good hour to work out some small bubbles but it turned out fantastic. Feels much nicer than the cheap ones. Time will tell how long this thing will last but I'm pretty impressed with it so far. If you do end up with a bubble, don't give up! Work it out. It may take several several pushes with the card tool but push, let it rest, push, let it rest etc, it will work out, just don't push so hard you make a crease. ... show more

  • Not worth it.
Style: Fusion Pattern Name: Screen Protection Size: GS22 Ultra
Installation is a pain compared to any other screen protector I've used. When I used the provided squeegee tool to remove air bubbles from underneath the screen protector during installation it stretched the screen protector on the curved edges of my screen despite me being gentle, which created ugly white marks. Not only is this screen protector overpriced, it's way worse than other screen protectors I've bought before for half or a third the price. If you're looking for garbage, look no further. ... show more

  • Great protection for my phone
Style: Fusion Pattern Name: Screen Protection Size: GS22 Ultra
My last screen saver got a big gash in it from the phone falling on rocks. The screen is fine, so I just purchased the same screen saver again. I would give it a 5, but the installation instructions were a bit confusing. In the end, I was able to get a nice seal with no bubbles, so everything worked out fine. ... show more

  • Love this thing.

It's saved my phone countless times, i work construction. I'm back buying a 3rd one after dropping a 4lb metal box right on my screen. Protector is toast, but the phone is fine.

  • Installation is awful but the product is ok if you can get around that
Style: Fusion Pattern Name: Screen Protection Size: GS22 Ultra
First off, this is not a good value for money. A film screen protector, even a custom sized and fitted uber special techy one should not be this expensive. Period. But wanting to keep my new phone nice I was left with very limited options, especially remotely recognizable brand ones. It sucks that Zagg makes a big deal of their warranty and then charges you so much to actually use it. I've been ok with their tempered glass stick on protectors before so I decided to give it a shot anyways. And really, in some respects I was pleasantly surprised. IF (and that is one huge IF) you can get it installed correctly it seems like it would actually be a really nice product. Not very noticeable, no affect on touch, surface feels good. It does seem like it gets smudgy slightly easier than I would think film would but I'm not super familiar with film before this so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. But installation is god awful. You get 1 shot at it. You make -any- mistake and that protector is completely dead and even if you warranty it Zagg will charge you $10 or more to try again. I can understand that for long term reuse, but if your installation is absolutely 1 shot only you need to make it wayyyy more foolproof. The biggest issue was when you go to peel the protective plastic off the film, even doing it exactly the same as their illustration and video shows, the wrong side of plastic will almost always at least start to peel. And even if you stop/try to stick it back/etc it's pretty likely to be hopelessly misaligned and thus your only guide for aligning it on the phone is also hopelessly misaligned. I thought I got it on correctly despite that. I really did. The top 4/5s of my phone was just fine. But by the bottom it was off center enough that I got permanent bubbles under the lower left corner. If you re-peel it to try again, even just a bit, there is a noticeable change in appearance even though the adhesion seems fine. I did have a decent number of other bubbles (again, only method of alignment and thus the tray wasted) to start but I was able to remove all of those in the manner they suggested. One or two might have taken some extra work but it was doable. Even tried pushing down the bubbles in the lower left (and just have the screen protector be wrinkly on that corner) but no. They would always always pop back up. Just so disheartening and frustrating, especially when Zagg's method/tray is actually pretty good for their tempered glass. ... show more
