I read all the reviews beforehand, so I was a little nervous about trying ice cream. Many people complained that the consistency was off, and I found that to be true when I followed the manual’s recipe exactly. Then Grok gave me a simple tip: whisk 2 egg yolks in a saucepan over low heat, stir in the sugar until it fully dissolves, and only then continue with the rest of the recipe from the manual. The result? Perfect soft-serve ice cream — excellent flavor and spot-on creamy texture. That one trick seems to completely solve the consistency issues so many people complain about. For slushies, it couldn’t be easier: I just grab my favorite juices from the store, pour them in, hit the slushie button, and 20 minutes later I have a perfect, restaurant-quality slushy. Cleanup is ridiculously simple too. After a quick 5-minute rinse cycle, I drain it straight into the sink, pull off the two removable parts, spray them down, and let them air dry. Our slushie maker has worked great for slushies, and our own version of an ice cream and lemonade mix. The clean-up after each use is easy. I had one instance of turning it on and a g ter letting it run for about 15 minutes the liquid got warmer. (We refrigerate our slushie liquids before pouring them in which decreases our wait times). Turning the machine off and then on again fixed that issue though. It's also quiet for a kitchen appliance and takes up a small amount of space. This is definitely a Five Star Slushie Machine.

We got the slushie maker a month ago but just set it up three days ago - just in time for Spring Break. This machine is a HIT!! So far we have made juice slushies, juice + soda (Squirt) slushies and coffee frappés. All disappeared in minutes. I keep 12 ounce cups by the machine but see the kids going to the cupboard for 16 or 20 ounce cups. We have not tried spiked yet because it could easily be mistaken for regular and with kids in the house … better safe. That said, I did do a tequila and triple sec mix in after dispensing yesterday. Gave it to my son (he’s 36 - no worries) and he said it was a really excellent margarita. There’s always a work around. The machine is quiet. It fits on the counter. Cleaning is a breeze. The process is pretty quick. Refrigerated liquids take 15-20 minutes to slush up. Room temp takes about 30. Very reasonable. It’s a little spendy but summer gets hot where we live and this makes a nice afternoon treat. I have no regrets.

So far, my wife loves the slushie machine. We ordered one online from Home Depot, and they did a switch a roo and sent us a cheap slushie machine. We returned it for our $200.00. I or we have found Amazon to be the best, and the delivery drivers are some of the best. THANKS GUYS.

So far so good! Just have to make sure the right amount of liquor and juice is in there or you will get an error when doing spiked slushies.

They do not make it clear that this does not work with sugar substitutes before you buy it. And there is no telephone number for Support. Buy the DASH, it works great and they give you support. Not this one.👎 Huge waste of my time.
