With new carpeting and kid company coming for 3 days and a boiling hot balcony.... we decided to purchase two of these awnings. There are 3 height adjustments, but we intentionally kept it on lowest level to create greatest amount of shade. I am 5'2" and had no trouble whatsoever. My 5'9" husband had to duck a little. The bright white cover that we chose reflected sun and heat wonderfully. The awnings were totally easy for TWO seniors to set up. We tied them to our balcony rails and have made it through an entire month and a number of storms already without lift off. Our visitors made up primarily of kids were able to eat numerous meals outside in comfort in spite of a blasting south exposure. Highly recommend these easy, awesome awnings! Writing this review a year after purchase: Canopy is as advertised, very easy to set up by one person. Not too heavy but sturdy enough to use on the beach on windy days as long as you are using some sort of anchors (we used sand bags). We had a minor issue after our first beach trip where the center locking hub would not lock, it turned out that sand was stuck in the hole where the bolt sits. The seller was very helpful and while I was able to fix myself with compressed air, they were willing to figure out the issue with me a year after I purchased. After assembly had a problem when I left the canopy assembled overnight, Sudden storm caused it to collapse from heavy rain. Should not have left it unattended . Customer service was great and sent me the parts I needed to repair. Can't say enough about the customer service for this product.

Did not have enough Velcro around the top to make it tight when it rained created puddles on top it collapsed under the weight of the water would not buy again

I finally used it, and it works great! Seems pretty sturdy to me. It was a little different than other pop-ups I've handled, but once you get the hang of the center piece that snaps into place, it's fairly easy to set-up.
