25 July 2021: This past week I finally opened up this device and applied the canopy shade. It was as easy to set up as the video I watched at the Amazon product page. Once the fabric shade was on, pushing the center up was easily accomplished and it locked securely in place. I really liked the locking mechanism of the four struts. Just pull up and the strut locks. Press the red flange and it lowers. I was able to move it around the driveway to give me shade over the utility trailer I was rewiring. I could go to the center of one side, move it along then do the same on the opposite side. I'm in my seventies with the usual cervical and lumbar stenosis problems of those my age. While moving the canopy around, it didn't shimmy and flex too much, giving me the sense that it was constructed well. It came with eight metal tent stakes, four for the base of each strut and four that are used with the guy ropes on the fabric canopy shade. The guy ropes are braided poly and come with a plastic piece that allows tension adjustment. I didn't have to use a midshipman's hitch for that. So, all that said, with so much technology involved in the center mechanism and with the struts' height adjustment mechanism, I have to wonder if this device will stand up over time. Here in New Mexico we have sand, dust and grit. Sometimes more advanced technology doesn't have the durability of more simple mechanisms. The overall rating I gave five stars. I didn't rate durability as it's too soon. Sun protection and ease of assembly each received five starts. As with all my reviews, should my opinion change I'll return and amend the review.

I use canopies regularly and have for years. It is always a balance between durability and price. I find this one to be a nearly perfect balance. It goes up and down quickly and easily. It does its job. We can put it away until next time. No muss, no fuss. And the price is competitive. This canopy is better quality than the cheaper ones and I like it better.

I got this canopy because I hate putting up the cheap ones. This canopy is so much easier to use! The convenience of being able to put this up without any help is definitely worth the extra money. The quality is very good and I like the carrying bag it comes with. Two of my friends ended up buying one as well because they really liked how quick it goes up and down.

This pop-up canopy is a nice medium blue color, has the vented feature, and comes packaged in a canvas-type carry tote bag. (in a cardboard box, which I did not keep). Includes 4 basic stakes, as well. The carry tote fits easily in my car trunk (4 door sedan), so I would think it will fit in most cars or SUV, unless you drive a mini-coooper! Probably fits there, at an angle. The ease of setting up was why I purchased it, and i tested in my front yard. Yes, the twist knob, is easier! Especially as a solo person, sometimes. I prefer to walk around the tent, and raise the 4-corner posts incrementally, and it takes just a few minutes to do this. You can set the height anywhere from about 3 feet, and taller. so a 6 foot tall person can walk under the canopy with ease. I did not go taller, because I can't reach! This is about $30 more than the basic white Wal-xxxx product, and worth it to me, because this is easier to setup when solo, has better fabric quality, and has the vent, for breezy days!

I really liked how easy this was to set up. The only thing that didn't work well for me was the always-open vent at the top. Not being able to close this vent caused problems in a moderate rain where it basically dripped all over the table it was intended to protect.

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to set up, lightweight to carry, very adjustable so you can angle it in anyway. Unfortunately the adjustment on one of the corners was broken and I was outside the return window. It comes with a very small steaks that don’t hold it in the ground well so I’ll be purchasing some sandbags. Otherwise it’s a great canopy for the price.
