The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying have a really expensive record player with all the bells and whistles. I barely know how to operate it and it’s connected to speakers and a sound system blah blah blah. 😒 I wanted this one for simplicity and because it’s so cute. No other reason. I feel more confident in learning to care for my vinyls now. (Don’t judge my poor handling or lack of skill) Upon opening, I tested 2 records out of curiosity. I saw many mention the sound, peeling , etc. The sound on mine is fine for the price. I cut it up to the max and there isn’t much to say. Mine is not canvas or plastic, but some type of fabric was used for the print. It has a few minor flaws but no big deal. I love it. It’s not heavy so I can move it easily. I enjoy the sound over modern sounding devices if that helps.

The media could not be loaded. I know what you're thinking: "I'm new to record players, and I don't need anything fancy- Crosley is a known brand and this one is less expensive than the fancy ones, but more expensive than those suitcase ones, so this must be medium quality!" YOU SO ARE WRONG. DO NOT BUY THIS. I'm new to the record player world, and even I can tell that this is the lowest of low quality. -First, my box came completely sealed- there was no damage to either outside boxes or to the outside casing of the player itself. That points to me that this is CLEARLY a factor quality issue. -It says it comes with an AC adapter. There's even a slip in the box that points to the AC adapter. Absolutely no adapter was there. That slot was completely empty. -Then I actually opened up the player, and I IMMEDIATELY knew it was broken. The (stand? Plastic player piece?) was COMPLETELY disconnected from the rest of the boxed housing, enough so where I could stick my finger in there. Since I had no adapter (I tried several adapters that I personally own with the same voltage, but none worked, making me wonder if this would even turn on at all even if I had the adapter), I put a record on and emulated it spinning. It wobbled to such a degree that it was tilting drastically every revolution. Even if it worked and I got it turned on and could put a record on, no needle could stay on the record the way it tilted. Like I said, the gap the way it is out of the box, I could easily fit fingers in there, and it feels like it's just a few wires away from being lifted off the box completely. To all you new record player people- Don't do it. I don't have a solution, but I'm starting to lose hope that there are any low range decent record players on the market. If you buy this, expect the lowest quality audio player you can think of, then lower your expectations 10x more. Good luck to everyone out there.

This is my second Crossley. The turntable needs fixing on my old one and doesn't have Bluetooth capability. This one sounds sweet on my AV unit over Bluetooth. My only gripe and the reason for knocking off a star is that the stylus arm does not return when it gets to the end of the groove, instead the record just stops spinning. I think all Crossleys do this by design and I see it as a big flaw. I'm not convinced that this does the record or the needle any favors!
