Description

The CrimeStopper RS1-G5 is our 1 button remote start system. This system features the ability to start, stop and unlock (once the vehicle has been remote started) from up to 1500 ft. away. The system comes with (2) 1 button remotes and is the perfect add-on for vehicles that the factory keyless goes to sleep when the vehicle is running. It is designed to work with gas, diesel or hybrid engines as offering a programmable tach, tactless or hybrid tactless connections. The 31 programmable features will allow this system to work on most any vehicle you have. This system also offers positive and negative ignition, accessory and starter outputs allowing you the flexibility to work on the vehicles of today as well as yesterday. We also designed the system to work on either automatic or manual transmission vehicles.

Install was not that hard. Came to Lithuania pretty fast. So far it works good. Installed it on Audi A6 C5 2000y 2.5 TDI Quattro Automatic. I saw some bad reviews about this , but most of them are from people that don't have enough experience to install this remote start system and shouldn't buy it in the first place.     • Great remote start unit on my 2002 F250 diesel
Style: 2 way 3000 feet range
This Crimestopper RS7-G5 was a great addition to my 2002 F250 Superduty Powerstroke. My main reason for installing this was to let my truck warm up even on not-so-cold days. The transmission just runs better when the old gal has a minute or two to get her feet under her before I hit the throttle on the diesel engine. The diesel start delay option is built in and easy to set. I've been using it for about a week now and have been very pleased with it's operation. INSTALLATION: I read everything I could find about it before purchasing and there were no surprises for me during the installation. Even though it's a relatively straight forward installation I have to agree with other reviewers in that you shouldn't try to self-install this (or any) system without at least some 12VDC auto experience. Every car has its own nuances so research, research, research and get a good wiring diagram for your vehicle. Don't be surpised if you need an additional module or something to make everything work correctly. You can G**gle enough to figure things out for your specific vehicle but you'll need to appreciate a challenge or two here and there such as locating wires in bundles as big as your wrist. OPERATION: I have been impressed and pleased with the operation of this unit. The range is really very good and I'm starting the vehicle daily from inside an office behind about three walls of brick, sheetrock and glass. If you're a elelctronics geek like me you can integrate a NodeMCU chip and tell Alex to, "Start my truck" when you roll out of bed in the morning and enjoy that toasty cab as you head to work. :) SERVICE: I contacted the manufacturer through thier website to ask a couple of questions during the install and they were pretty quick to respond with tips and such. So far this is an awesome product for the low price! It is definitely not a simple install. If you don't have auto wiring experience and more than general auto lingo, don't even try. I read over the install instructions several times, which are confusing, vague, and out of order. It is an all day project for sure. One major benefit to this unit is it doesn't require all of the relays and resistors that some of the other brands require. I did have to set up a reverse polarity relay for my door locks, and I did do it wrong the first time burning out the actuator on the drivers door. The remote start is such a nice feature to have. I had my son take the Jeep for a ride around the block to test the range of the remote. I'm very impressed with the range! Now that I have installed it once, I think I can do it again in half a day. I will be buying another one of these for my other vehicles for sure. It didn't take much to convince both of my son's they need this too. The remotes are very solid and look like they will last a long time. The immobilizer is required however I cheated my way around that by permanently attaching the head of the only chipped key I have inside the steering column. I have been running the Jeep this way for a while using two regular keys without the chip in them. The biggest benefit is I bought my Jeep without a key fob. Every time I unlocked the door the alarm would go off alerting everyone and their dog that I was getting into my Jeep! Very annoying! This unit has enabled me to disarm the alarm at a fraction of the cost of buying a new fob and having it programed, with the added bonus of having remote start for the hot summers and cold winters! Customer service was quick to answer the phone and my question, I should have used them a few more times. Some of the other features not listed: Wait to start for diesel engines; turbo cool down timer allowing you to leave the vehicle and it stays running for 3-5 minutes extending the life of the turbo; basic programmable start timer; 2 separate vehicle operation from one remote; RPM enabled lock and unlock of all doors; keep running feature, allows you to run into a store with the key and locked doors for up to 20 minutes and the car will stay running, great feature on a hot Arizona day! There are numerous more, but these are things that would have sold me even faster on this product. Overall a fantastic product! Now to see how it will stand the test of time! ... show more

Works very well. I have installed many of these systems over the years for myself and others. I ordered this unit to see if it would work with my 2008 Toyota Tundra DoubleCab. I also used a Directed Electronics Inc XK05-PKT1 XpressKit for my key bypass. My intention was to find a low current starter system to work with the small wire factory harness. This remote start unit has a low current and high current option. I was unable to get the low current portion of the starter to operate without at least connecting the large gauge 12V wiring. This is truly a universal starter system for the fact that it has high and low current control wiring, a neutral start option, timers built it for anti grind, a diesel glow plug delay, etc. I went ahead and kept this unit and wired all of the high current wires to my low current system. (The only real issue is proper splicing) I am happy with this system and its incredible range. I would install this system again for others. ... show more
