despite reading some bad reviews stating the alarm is low etc I still decided to buy it and let me just say, THAT ALARM IS NOT LOW, I can hear it all the way on the the top floors of my apartment and it is a very reasonable price for this system, most alarm systems are expensive but i’m happy I took a chance with this one because I can now open the door without the manual manufacturer key, i can use the keyless remote on this system- I have a ford focus 2008 and I can sound the alarm as well which is indeed loud, the key is a little sensitive however so be careful not to accidentally sound it. great buy, I would recommend. ... show more

I wanted a simple alarm with the ability to control door locks and trunk. I'm average to slightly above average in auto electronics. The supplied guide only tells you what wires do what on the alarm. I paid for a wiring diagram for my camry...under 20 dollars and after that connections were simple. Only extra items I needed were a relay for the trunk release and diodes to isolate door pins. Siren is weak so I connected to my horn. All works great with good range. ... show more

Viper alarms have been around for many years and getting a 1-way alarm for $60 is truly shocking with how low priced this is. If you want a 1-way alarm with built in shock/impact protection from a reputable long standing company this is definitely a highly recommended alarm system.

    • Siren not loud enough!
It's a good unit but for the money it's way overpriced! The alarm it's too low at 69 decimals you can barely hear it--by the time you do, your car is gone!!- now I got to spend more money to buy a louder siren!!

Fairly easy to install if you are familiar with basic car wiring. Just need to find 12v constant lead, 12v ignition lead, door switch lead ground, running lamp lead etc. Features work as expected, good range on remotes. I added InstallGear Universal Car Power Door Lock Actuators 12-Volt Motor (2 Pack) to my old 94 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup at the same time. Took a bit of work figuring out the power lock feature wiring but in the end everything works. Nice purchase especially considering the price. Con - Warranty is only valid if you have a dealer install, therefore I don't have a warranty. ... show more
