They are small enough that they can be hidden on the underside of a desk drawer and not impact it opening or closing. Watched my co-worker empty her drawers looking for this. Only draw back is that it is too loud. There is definitely some collateral damage as the folks working outside her office are hearing it too. If I could turn the volume down so that they weren't hearing it as well it would be absolutely perfect!

I hid 2 of these in my buddys truck and it immediately started driving him crazy during his work commute. I also hid one behind my bosses desk and drove him crazy too. They both thought it was a really good prank considering how harmless it is. Definitely worth the the money. It’s easy enough to use and like that it comes with its own sticky pads. However the stock pads are supper cheep so depending how you use them you may need your own double sided tape or something. Nonetheless it’s a great prank!

If you like pulling practical jokes buy this noise-maker! I've used one at work to drive our folks nuts and have one running at home that is driving my wife mad. It's just loud enough to be noticed and has six sounds to choose from, beeps, buzzes and cricket chirping. My wife will hear it and she then asks me if I heard it and I say, "No, didn't hear anything." I've moved it to different areas of the house and it's hilarious!

These might be effective in a quiet bedroom, but, they are not very loud. Even at the loudest setting they are difficult to hear. They only go off every couple hours. Also the battery life is very short.

oh my, I had so much fun with these, putting them behind the bar at my favorite restaurant. It drove the bartenders crazy trying to find the cricket for days. They laughed when I told them what it was.
