  • Great Replacement for My Previous Recirculation Pump!
Color: 3-speed Control
I bought this to replace a failing pump with built-in timer whose seals were leaking. After cutting out the old pump, I installed this using the included 1/2" NPT fittings and SharkBite 1/2" NPT to 1/2 " push on fittings. I found the included Teflon tape to be thin and flimsy, so I used a heavier grade pipe tape and was able to make a connection that didn't leak. I intentionally bought this model without the built in timer or water flow sensor. I like the idea that it has 3 speeds which I experimented with. I found the lowest speed to work fine in my single level home. I merely plug this into a smart wifi plug and am able to run this for a short 10 minutes every hour and have practically instant hot water 24/7, with a total run time of 4 hours per day. Also I don't have to reset a manual timer for daylight to standard time, or after occasional power outages. My wifi deals with that. The installation manual if fairly rudimentary and potentially confusing. I just looked at the arrows on the pump to push the return water back into the bottom of my water heater so that it pushes the hot water out to the house. Works great! ... show more

  • Great value, auto doesn’t work for me
Color: Auto/Mannual
The auto feature doesn’t work for me. Once it starts running it might as well be on manual. I’m going to install a wifi timer outlet to manage schedule. Used Propress fittings to install. Worked great but I went Propress adapter straight to pump and I should have done Propress adapter to supplies threaded adapters so I would be able to remove pump in future if it fails. Now I will have to Propress the entire thing again. Make sense? Rookie mistake. All in all, very good value for the money. ... show more

  • Its not stainless.
Color: 3-speed Control
The media could not be loaded. Lets start with one star. Item claims the pump housing is made of advanced stainless steel. But a magnet will stick to it to the point you can drag it around. Looks like its just a POS pump wrapped around Chinese lies. Lets see how long it lasts.

  • Well built.
Color: Auto/Mannual
The hook up to tie it into the existing plumbing is a little confusing but I think I can transition into PEX to.make a good installation. Pump looks like it is built well.

  • OK until it wasn't.
Color: Auto/Mannual
Straight forward installation. Worked well for about 6 months and then, out of the blue, I happened into the pantry and noticed that water was dripping/running out of the recirc pump. After a flurry of buckets and towels, I climbed up to try to stem the flow of the water. Thinking that it was from one of the upper or lower connections that I could tighten and perhaps stem the tide, I realized that the water was coming from a seal between the pump body and the square, black electrical box. After shutting water and electricity off, I removed the top of the square box hoping to get purchase on the two hex nuts with allen keys. I had to carve sections out of the box to get to the nuts with the hex keys. Neither was particularly loose and it did not stem the flow of the water. More intent on restoring hot water than doing surgery on a pump, I uninstalled the pump and binned it. Fortunately I was able to McGyver temp repairs from leftover pex so that we could have hot water. And of course, this all happens on Friday night. ... show more
