Needed some beard balm since I had to run up to Connecticut for a family emergency and left my more expensive care products at home, including my beard balm and beard oil. Picked this up off the shelf at a Wal-Mart of all places. I've been using it for two days now and have to say, it's not bad at all. Gets the job done. Seems like it's made with quality ingredients. It's been just as good for styling and hold as my more expensive brand. I will say two things: First, it's a little "greasier" then I'm used to. You just have to use a little less than you think you need. It does, however, absorb into the hair, with a little work, quite well. Second, and this is reallymore of a personal preference issue and not a product problem, I'm not a fan of the lemony, peppermint smell. It's not over powering at all, I just like a more earthy, darker scent. I wouldn't say it's displeasing, however. I would recommend this if you're on a budget but still want a good quality product. Has an interesting fragrance and put a nice sheen on my longish beard. I’ve been using another brand that has a lot more wax in it, so it was easy to give my beard some shape. I wanted to try this product because I have used Cremo shave cream for years to shave my scalp every day. Used to be able to get this at Walgreens, but now I have to get it on Amazon. Best sent of all the beard products I have tried. Subtle and not over powering. I love the creaminess of the balm. Others use too much wax. Goes perfect with the Oil.
