It reduces the discomfort in general; It's reduced a massive nuisance down to a minor itch on it's own. I've used several other "softeners" but was unsatisfied with the results and I also was constantly scratching my beard which seemed like a brillo pad. Cremo does work. I use it daily and leave it on my beard and mustache for 60 seconds (not 30 as recommended) . The itching is gone and the bear is softer and much better controlled. This is my favorite scent from this brand. The peppermint is actually cooling. It’s not magic for beard softening, but it does make things manageable after a shower and I don’t think it’s damaging to hair. So far I keep coming back to this one after trying other brands.

I got this for my partner who has a mustache. It really does work to soften facial hair and his mustache went from bristled to silky after a short while of using this! The smell is fine, not the greatest but not the worst, which is usually what I think of cremo products.

I like the smell of this product since they reformulated it about a year ago. The old formula smelled like being hit in the face with a pine tree; this one is much more light. It seems to work well as a conditioner. It doesn't strip oil out of your beard which is good if the hair in your beard tends to be more dry. ... show more
