I very rarely post online about anything because I detest dealing with the trolls that inevitably show up no matter what the forum or subject matter. However, after seeing several disparaging posts about this printer, I have decided to post about my experience with it. Perhaps others will find it useful. I received my first SPARKX I7 in April as a birthday gift. I had no experience with 3D printing, though I did have some experience with laser engravers and mini CNC machines so this may have made the transition easier. The setup was extremely easy. There was no actual assembly beyond removing a couple of brackets and connecting the filament tubes to the printer. Connecting it to my WIFI required no effort beyond inputting the passcode. I was printing my first piece with minutes of going operational and was immediately hooked. Since then, any issues I've had stemmed from my own inexperience. As with any new device, there is a learning curve but it isn't nearly as steep as that for a laser engraver or a mini CNC (I still get facial ticks remembering that particular experience). Apart from that, the hardware and software have performed perfectly within their parameters. Whatever questions or issues I have had were easily answered by Google searches, ChatGPT, and by 3D printing enthusiast forums. The SPARKX I7 community is growing rapidly, and the 3D printing community in general is enormous. Most 3D enthusiasts are happy to assist newcomers. Most. Anyway, I enjoyed my first printer so much I purchased a second about two weeks ago, effectively establishing my own mini print farm. The original printer I use for fun prints, mostly dollhouse miniatures and similar items. The second is my utility printer, used for mostly practical items (hinges, brackets, jigs, etc.) and decor items. It sees particular use in printing cage tags and accessories for my wife's rabbitry and my sister's mice and hamster addiction. Both see lengthy and daily use and both are performing flawlessly. Of course, regular maintenance is a must as it is with any device. The machine itself is aesthetically pleasing, and the print quality (once the settings are dialed in for the particular project and filament) is excellent. I do recommend an enclosure (the one for the Anycubic Kobra works well) even if you aren't printing with filaments that require venting (ABS, ASA, and others). The enclosure helps with maintaining a stable heat environment, thereby assisting in producing quality prints. It also helps keep the machine free from dust and any interference from curious pets. A filament dryer is also a must have and will save you both money and headaches. One special note: If you are not a patient person, then 3D printing is not a hobby for you. Depending on the complexity and detail of a project, a single print can take several hours (or longer) to complete. The longest print I have done so far was twelve hours for a highly detailed statue less than ten inches high. Overall, in my opinion, the SPARKX I7 is an excellent machine for beginners and hobby level work. It is a solid and reliable machine that is forgiving of the stumbling steps of beginners like me. Whatever model of printer you purchase, please just be patient and take the time to read the instructions, watch the instructional videos, and research any issues you have rather than throw childish temper tantrums online. Remember, as with pretty much everything these days, these printers are mass produced so don't judge the entire line if you get a imperfect machine. And remember: this is a (though quite capable) hobby level machine. If you are looking for something to do heavy production work, look at the more advanced machines. I have multiple Bambu printers that are way bigger and more pricier but they are enclosed too which makes them worth it so when I was looking for a 3-D printer just to do like my straw toppers and stuff I was a little skeptic about this one but lordyyy does he know how to 3D print like the big dogs lmfao. Definitely a great starter printer even for a young children. I’d buy this over one of the kid ones being they are the same price and this one is just so much better. It is very beginner friendly. Like seriously even your child could use it so if they can so can you. Also, if you find me on any of the socials I’m more than willing to help you out with anything. Same name as here :) Desaray Kerr 🖤 just wanted to send a picture to that show that I have other printers too so this is an honest opinion of mine :)

This is BY FAR the worst 3D Printer that I've ever owned, and I've owned many. I don't know how Creality sells something this bad for this price. It had a jam in the Hotend immediately after its very first print. I had to break the entire thing down and pull the tubes out to locate it. It took 2 hours just to clear the Hotend. The tubes were damaged in the process because of how poorly designed the holders are and they don't even send you extra tubos, even though their extremely cheap. Like the rest of the machine. I will be returning this and going with Bambu. This will be the last Creality printer that I ever purchase. Amazon wont allow me to post the amount of pictures and videos I have, so I will be uploading a video with a full breakdown on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok shortly

This is a great starter printer as it is quite easy to setup and use. Out of the few times I have ran prints with it not once has it clogged and if it did it comes with a cleaning tool for that task. The print quality is fairly good as well, about normal for 3d printers. The one thing I wish was for it to be quieter. But other than that i have enjoyed it.

I will preface this with I have used an old Anet A8 for YEARS and switched to this machine. I will say it has been the best set and forget machine yet. Out of the box it just works. The stock settings in the Creality app work well out of the box. I have used elegoo and esun filaments with it and both work well with stock settings. I am also using the CFS Lite and haven't had issues. Watch your rolls though if you switch colors a lot the slack can build up just keep an eye on em. I also screwed up trying to clear a clogged nozzel (my fault) and getting replacement parts from Creality direct was faster than amazon. Beginner or prosumer this is an amazing buy.

I can’t say enough about this machine. I’ve been printing non-stop since I bought it. Very sleek looking and the added CFS Lite storage box that can hold out to 4 full size filaments is the cherry on the top. It comes prebuilt right out the box, so no tools needed outside of scissors, however, for US buyers, download the app from Apple or Android first, the QR code they provide is for overseas and will not work. There online cloud webpage offers loads of free prints some by designers and others by verified community members, you can also add your own files and drop them into the Creality Print desktop app and print those as well. One of my favorite tools thus far is the painting tool, you can add multi-color printing to any project, however, keep in mind, depending on the amount of color used, your project may take several hours (I mean in the teens), so paint lightly or separate the project into parts. The build plate is a very nice size, you’re looking at about 10” x 10” x 10”, so large projects are definitely possible with this machine. Go crazy!! Oh and don’t fret about power outages, this machine has a continuous feature, and will ask if you would like to keep going where it left off, however, depending on the project, if you don’t have supports, the continuation feature may not work out (I made a mini figure and didn’t use supports, power went out, when it continued where it left off my figure was knocked down, I’ve added supports since then LOL). I could go on and on, but I’m getting tired of writing LOL, and although I did have a couple of cons, the pros hands down outweighed them. If you are considering buy this machine, DO IT!!!

I wanted to love this thing. My first foray into 3d and I thought I was buying the best and easiest to use printer available.. set up was quick 15 to 20 minutes following the couple of online videos out there. This is gonna be awesome ! I couldn’t have been more wrong. For every successful print I had hours of failures and attempts at releveling. I watched every video and read every how to on how to square the bed , gantry, setting an auto level mesh, using feeler gauges, and every thing else to no avail. Had the power go out mid print and the recovery mode had the print nozzle gouging out huge chunks of the print. I replaced it with the Bambu X1 Carbon and this is what printing should be. No BS hours spent trying to manually level the bed with feeler gauages only to have your Z offset drift between prints so much you have to start over … that is if you can complete an entire print. There’s a chance my unit was one of the ones with a warped bed or gantry , but there are just too many units with the same problem. Purchase at your own risk. I will say I had about 8 successful prints that were ok in quality . Knowing what I know now just a month later the print quality is mediocre at best.
