  • 90 hours no failed prints. It just works.
Model: K1 SE
Fantastic printer. right out of the box it worked flawlessly and has continued to do so on every print thus far. It has 90 hours of print time on it so far and i have not had a single failed print. the automatic bed leveling appears to work exactly as intended and i have not had any issues with bed adhesion. This is the fastest printer i have owned so far and the ease of use with creality cloud is phenomenal. i have noticed some slight inconsistencies on vertical flat walls where the layers dont always line up perfectly but i imagine this would be corrected by slowing print speed down slightly if you needed a part to be more precise. So far i have only printed with PLA so I cant say how it will do with other filaments but given how well it has performed so far i think it will be just fine. TLDR this printer just works and for the price i dont think you will find a better value. Whether you are printing toys or functional parts you really cant go wrong with this one. ... show more

  • Cheap thrown together garbage.
Oh where to begin..ok I'll go in the order of the problems I faced. To start with the bolts on this have like six different allen wrench sizes for a total of 3 different diameter bolts, so for example on top of the extruder there are 9 bolts total all of the same diameter and thread but three different wrench sizes. Not really a defect per say just really annoying to work with. Given the print size of this printer the Bowden tube that the filament must travel through is pretty long, the internal diameter of this Bowden tube is 1.75 mm, the filament you're putting through it is 1.75 mm so needless to say it fits pretty snug so snug in fact the extruder motor is unable to effectively push the filament through it. So I bought an aftermarket all metal extruder and even then I was still having huge issues with extrusion consistency. So then I had a friend print me a direct extrusion bracket which mounts the extruder directly above the hot end giving the filament only an inch of tight Bowden tube to travel through instead of 15" . So then I thought it was printing okay at least it was getting filament but I soon realized I wasn't able to get enough space between the tip of the extruder and the printing bed due to the fact that the z stop switch on this is set to low therefore the range of movement in the bed for leveling went from pressing really tight against the extruder tip or really really tight against the extruder tip whichever you prefer. So I had to glue a little piece of plastic on the bottom of the z stepper motor so it would trip the stepper switch about an eighth of an inch sooner which allowed me to get the proper spacing between the bed and the hot end tip. Because of how firmly the z motor was pressing the soft brass tip into the tempered glass bed it deformed the shape of it. When I remove the fan shroud change out the chip I found a puddle of liquid pla on top of heating element, because the hot end leakes. So I attempted to twist the heating block on to the tube coming from the bottom of the hot end so it stops leaking because it was loose enough It could be turned with your fingers and the substandard soldering job holding the wires to the hot end pops right off. And then there's the issues with the software couldn't actually get anything to print properly using the provided software from the manufacturer only time it ever worked at all was with cura. The quality and workmanship at every corner are appalling it's one thing after another after another after another after another this machine has not even come close to performing as advertised. ... show more

  • Great machine for beginners and experts
This was my first printer, this thing is awesome, i found it was very easy to put together, and very easy to use, if you follow the instructions correctly you can find yourself printing things off thingiverse in no time. With that being said there were a couple things i was not happy about. Upon opening and putting together this unit i found about 5 screws in the box that mist of fell out of the machine itself while shipping, so i spent countless hours trying to find where they went because they were such tiny screws but looked important, also they sent so many different things with this that arnt in the instructions, for instance there was this spring like object with a needle on one side, still have no idea where it goes. Also when i got my machine the y chip that functions as the stop for the y bed came broken, it doesnt really affect the prints, amazon offered a new machine but after about 6 hours of assembly i did not want to take it apart to send it back so i did get a 40% discount. So when the y bed goes into its home position it makes a loud annoying noise for a few seconds then it stops, im sure i can find a replacement chip somewhere. Thats all for now ... show more
