  • Love the features!
Color: Ender-5-Max
I love my new Ender! I love the automatic leveling feature and the ease of changing filament and sending files through the WIFI. I also love the larger plate making larger prints possible. The quality of the prints is much better. I am so glad I bought this machine.

  • If you want a big printer that has an undersized extruder, then this is your money pit.

If you want a big printer that has an undersized extruder, then this is your money pit. There are NO upgrades available for this printer because it is a mish mash of cr-10 and K1 technology. But you cannot even use the original parts. You have to buy them from Creality..

  • Not a good experience so far. Not a good experience so far.
Color: Ender-5-Max
11/13 - this time we had to replace a sensor. That was easy and has things working for now. We've done a couple prints, but I'm not gonna celebrate until it's running for a bit. **Not currently functional. Failed after 5 prints. Will update if/when repairs are successful. Before unboxing, I watched several Youtube videos and read the user instructions thoroughly. I’m a novice and while I have had a 3D printer before, it was fully assembled. It took me about 2 hours to unbox it and assemble it. It was much easier to assemble the frame with assistance of a second person, but once the frame was assembled and firmly secured, the remainder was easy to complete myself. I would definitely be able to do it in less time if I were to do it again now that I’m familiar with the components. The contents were clearly labeled which made the assembly efficient. The layered packing with dense foam was protective of all components and it arrived in good condition with no issues. I did find it easiest to spread everything out on a large table so that it was easy to see and access all the parts. All the tools necessary for assembly were included as well as the usual snipping tool and a scraper. The one disappointing factor in unboxing and inventorying the package was the filament. There was a loose coil of white filament not even on a spool. To purchase a higher end model and have it come with such a small amount of filament was a surprise. Other lower cost printers I’ve purchased both from this brand (Creality) and other competing brands, all included a spool of filament, some were only about ½ full, but this just struck me as odd. Most printers also come with a glue stick or some adhesive for the bed, none was included with this printer. First print efforts were mixed. I printed a benchy, it came out very stringy. I increased the temperature and it reduced the strings on the second effort. I was able to print a scraper that came out perfect, as well as an articulating dragon and then a small planter with a saucer. I used Creality PLA, I thought staying with the brand would give me the best potential results in printing. After printing the aforementioned, I attempted a 5th print, the nozzle apparently jammed. The printer didn’t signal any error, it just kept trying to print going through the motions without any filament dispensing to create the print. This was quite surprising and disappointing. The jam was such that I had to disassemble the extruder and fully clean out the nozzle and reassemble the extruder. Fortunately there are great how to videos that walk you through the process on Youtube. There is no troubleshooting guide in the user manual, but lots of options online. I did try using the step one suggestions of heating the nozzle and attempting to extrude, but that did not clear the jam. There is a manual on the Creality website. It is a bit more detailed than the booklet that comes with the printer when shipped. It was helpful to use this for assembly because it was easy to enlarge. There is no troubleshooting information in this version however. Reaching out to creality support was a no go, they told us to contact our supplier. We have had good response from the creality team through their wiki. We just received a couple new parts to swap out. I will update after we have attempted the repair. The printer is currently useless. It powers on, but that is all. ... show more

  • Awesome larger sized 3D printer for hobbyist and print farms
Color: Ender-5-Max
I've been using this printer for a couple months now. This is my first 3D printer but I've purchase several 3d prints in the past. I'm pretty amazed at how good the prints come out at a very quick speed. I've been printing mostly on PLA and PLA+ both of which work perfectly with the presets within the creality windows application. I've made some large prints of busts and very small prints. Out of the 50+ prints Ive done with PLA I've only had one issue with it not sticking to the plate. I'm guessing it was because I didn't clean the plate well that time. The creality print application is very easy to use to print stl files. It can auto-generate different types of support structures and fill patterns. The application took my grade school kiddo about 10 minutes to print his first stl file and about 30 more minutes to figure our the support structures, resizing models, and importing multiple models on a single plate. The printer handles levering automatically which Is a time saver. I've also printed on 95A TPU which was a little bit trickier. Pushing the loose filament though the tube is more time consuming and pushing it sufficiently into the extruder was difficult. Once the extruder was extruding the filament I had to increase the bed temperature since the prints using the default settings were looseing during prints. After increasing the bed temps I was able to print most of my 95A prints without any issues, but the extruder did get stuck a couple times when printing. I'm not sure what caused this. I've been using this print so much that I did end purchasing the case for this. This made a significant improvement in reducing the printer noise and allowed me to print on ABS. The case contains lots of the ABS fumes and I can let it print overnight without having a room filled with ABS fumes. I'd recommend the case if your budget allows it. I also purchase the nebula camera for this. This allows you to view prints real time and it also creates speed up videos of the prints. The windows application can be used to view the camera. I though the camera was a nice gadget but not really necessary. Plus the camera doesn't install nicely on this printer. It does not mount anywhere and is just sitting on top of the frame. It is also cumbersome to keep mounted when removing the top of the case. ... show more
