  • Great printer out of the box.
Assembled the printer and it has printed great straight out the box. I have printed dice to large camera mounts and have had no adhesion problems that I had been reading about. I have been using some leftover Overture PLA+ using Creality slicer set for Hyper PLA and it has been running great. Only changes I made were running 220 nozzle temp and 60 bed temp. It's quiet and was easy to connect and control over the LAN. Well worth the money!!! ... show more

  • Started great. Not so great 2 months later.
This printer started out great from the box. 2 months later the bed is not staying level and I cannot print anything. Today when attempting a print I got the mess shown in the pictures. When I pulled the plastic (pla) away it completely cracked the ceramic heater in half. I'm unsure of this was a cause or a symptom of the issue. If I could do it again I would attempt to get a different printer. This is my second one and both have had horrible issues. ... show more

  • Print Quality is Very Poor
Very poor print quality. Stringing, weak layer adhesion, and poor bed adhesion. The auto z-offset and auto-bed leveling are very hit or miss. Every so often the calibration determines the z-offset is set somewhere around -0.5, when it should be -2.55mm (or around there). Don't buy this printer thinking you can just print out of the box with no issues. You're going to need to spend a while dialing in even PLA profiles. And let's not even get started on more advanced filaments. My previous printer, and Ender 3 Neo, was much, much better than this. I didn't have to do any tweaking to get good prints out of the box. Extremely disappointed in this printer. ... show more

  • Fast and easy
Up and printing in less than an hour and this then cranks out the parts. Love it.

  • It’s an amazing update!
I bought after great disappointment with the V3 SE and it was the best choice I made.

  • This ain't it, fam
Build quality issues. Lots of them. I've owned two of these machines this month and have had the following issues with them both. - The frame wobbles tremendously even when screwed in tight. Many of them lean backwards or are otherwise warped. There are mods to help with this which require drilling holes into the plastic base to mount threaded rods that you have to buy separately. Not only that, but the aluminum is incredibly soft and will very easily strip if you're disassembling and reassembling the machine to add printed shims underneath the extrusions to level out the leaning gantry. - The Y Axis rods are not secured into the base by the screws because the screws aren't even long enough to touch the rods. The linear bearings that hold up the print bed are also incredibly noisy, especially at the high speeds that are advertised. I worry about waking up roommates unless I run this thing at Ender 3 speeds. The bed wobbles quite a lot which introduces quite a few quality issues in prints, and there are several popular YouTube videos about this. - Speaking of the bed - both of mine are warped. The ABL doesn't always compensate for this. - The nozzle scrapes on infill like crazy, and Creality's response to this was to "use a different infill type". I get that it's a budget printer, but some of my prints are for work and need certain kinds of infill to hold up. I've tried everything in my power to make this stop and it doesn't. Lots of blobs and stringing because of this even with "good" filament that has been dried. - The nozzles were very crooked out of the box on both machines. Not the brass tip - I'm talking about the whole hotend nozzle. One of them wasn't even fully screwed in. I could have had a catastrophic failure if I hadn't checked this. - One of my part cooling fans randomly separated itself from the cover as one of the screws literally stripped itself out of position. The fan is bulging outwards from the side of the shroud. - Auto Z Offset never puts the nozzle in the right place. I find myself having to recheck it after prints are done because of all the quality issues I get, and I've tried everything to tune it. I've had more iffy prints than good ones. Overall, it feels cheap and doesn't perform nearly as well as I thought it would out of the box. It's an Ender in every sense - only get this if you want to tinker with it endlessly. I don't have time for that, so I'm returning both to get a better machine. If I wanted this kind of experience, I would have bought a used Ender 3 secondhand and modded it to oblivion. ... show more

  • Two weeks in and its broken -- self destructed
So very much wanted to like this but it just self-destructed on me. Was printing a new project and checking up on it there was no PLA coming out the head; turns out the PLA was working hard to fill up the printer head - like all over the internal parts. Their is a orange cover over the nozzle and heater and that was blown apart and black PLA was spilling out of it and completely encased the interior guts. An absolute mess. Hours with a heat gun to try and remove this mess. Of course in the end the nozzle won't clear and the heater module (screws into bottom) wires broke off (within huge globs of PLA) and the other thermistor is no longer pressed against the heater module. Sent request for help to Creality so let's see how they handle this and I"ll update. When it did work I was struggling with the supports. Too thick and too many which ended up damaging the models that did work. Was just starting to figure them out when this happened. Hope to be back in business soon. ... show more
