This scanner was recommended by a friend of mine who uses the more expensive Raptor, and on his recommendation, I chose the cheaper Ferret pro to try out first. Compared to the Creality Raptor scanner, the Ferret pro is a bit difficult to scan small objects or oversized parts, but it is still good for scanning small and medium-sized objects. If there is no one around to guide you, it may be difficult to get started, and the manual is not friendly to newbies, and wrong scanning operation may result in incomplete modeling. I recommend that newbies try it out first or do their homework before buying it.

I am shocked that all these reviews are not one star. They certainly are on the Creality website. This unit does not work with iPhones. Says it does, but never connects. You will spend hours and never get it to work.

I am on the fence regarding if I am going to keep this. It really struggles to keep a lock on objects, and marker mode doesn't even pickup on the markers and start scanning.

I placed my order with high expectations, but for some reason , my package hasn’t been dispatched , and two weeks later it was shipped to me. The Creality Ferret pro scanner is a high cost effective 3D scanner for me. Recently I started using it to scan some small furniture and household items at home, then printed them out as souvenirs. I also tried to scan the shell of my car in the garage ( it didn’t achieve a perfect effect , and maybe a more advanced model is needed). So far, there haven’t been too many problems with its use . I hope it can be more helpful , so that I will consider buying a more expensive model.

Ok I'm a big fan of Creality, I have two of their 3D printers and I this is my first 3D scanner. It's a laser based so not just photogrammetry like some other ones . But scanning is a challenge you need good lighting. Unlike what people say online, you can scan with this using wireless bridge (where you phone can sit it on the counter), or remove the wireless bridge and connect your phone with a wire. I have posted two images to show this. I have not tried desktop software yet. While I assumed the scanning would be much easier, I learned that to get a high quality scan you need good lighting, some patience and a newer phone. The app would not install on my Huawei Mate 20 or Samsung 8+. So I had to install it on my S23U and worked great Unfortunately just like the Creality Slicer the app needs major overhaul especially that without the app the hardware is useless. So Creality please step up the work on the app, your hardware is fantastic.

Creality Ferret Pro is the best choice for low threshold experience of 3D technology, and the price is very affordable for me.In terms of experience,it meets my modeling needs for small and medium-sized objects, but scanning featureless object tend to lose details,and it takes a long time to adjust the angle and lighting repeatedly.In addition,the software provided by the scanner is too basic,and there will be lag when dealing with complex models,I hope Creality can be optimized!
