This is a extremely low end 3d scanner. it will not produce perfect copies of things with no effort. it takes significant effort to get a good scan. and then it will be low resolution. Why? Because it's not a $2000 high end scanner that's why. will it work to get complex shaped items into a CAD program so you can make holders or mounts? Yes it works great for that. It also works great for making custom things to attach to stuff. the software is buggy, it requires you have a powerful computer with a good video card. no that $99 10 year old laptop you have will not work. heck even my 10th gen i9 lenovo X1 with a 1060 video card in it chugs a bit with this. Be realistic. I see a lot of negative reviews for this scanner from people that expected $10,000 scanner performance. You wont get that, ever. does it work? yes. Do I use it and get good results? yes. does it take time to learn how to use it and what you need to do it make it function properly? yes. Why only 4 stars? the software sucks and Creality refuses to fix it or open source any of it so we can get good software. IT's not a fault of the device, it's a fault of Creality being a company that doesnt really care.

This works well if you want to scan some ones face. But about worthless trying to scan a small object. Software is really poor. It has a graph to help set the scanner at the optimum distance. But when you have it set according to the graph, it will not scan.

Solid Scanner With Great Results The CR-Ferret SE does a great job for what it costs. The scans come out clean and detailed, and setup is simple. It’s a solid choice if you’re getting into 3D scanning or using it for creative projects. The only thing I didn’t love is the wired connection— it works, but the cable can get in the way when you’re trying to move around the object. If mobility matters to you, the wireless model is definitely more convenient. Still, this one performs really well overall. Pros: • Clean, accurate scans • Easy setup and operation • Good build quality • Great price/performance balance Cons: • Wired connection gets a bit annoying during movement

To distant picky no editing apps included not even simple crop edit. Indentations on objects blurred not accurate details sharp edges look bubbly. Function as if only perfect machine can scan without moving up down a little bit

Don't know whether complaining helps but as this is one of the only one available at this price range for me. I bought this with a lot of excitement. The quality is not great. The scans are not very useful. It does work but everything seems to be cheap with not good software. So if you can afford get a better option. I dont think so this is value for money. Its money wasted.
