This is a hand held tornado! Tremendous power and blowing force. Just plug it in and start at the slowest speed and increase slowly to get the force you need. At the highest setting you really need to hang on!

Not great but not bad either
Style: 230 MPH Blower/VAC
This replaced a similar 6 year old Craftsman blower that died. I have used it as a blower for about 6 hours so far on my 1/2 acre property that has several large trees. I will use it about twice a week for leaves and yard work, and occasionally for garage cleaning in winter. So if it lasts another 6 years I will be happy. The power is similar to the old one and will move even wet leaves. You need a good size cord, especially for long distances. The tube is about 3” longer (24” plus another 6 or so for the concentrator) and for me that is a good thing. The concentrator nozzle is useless though so toss that. The handle seems like a bigger diameter than the old machine and is less comfortable. A little hockey tape on the handle will improve the grip. The machine is pretty heavy so you switch hands often. Switching from left to right you have a tendency to hit the speed knob which slows the blower down. (The old one was a 2 position switch on the back of the unit out of the way). But the balance is good enough for side to side, swirling and up and down motions. There is not provisions to provide strain relief for the cord except knotting it around the handle which is fine. I will never use it as a vacuum but the bag seems cheap and the impeller is plastic. The warranty is actually 3 years but good luck on using that if you need to. It was about 2/3 the cost of a similar Toro and the specs were only slightly less. ... show more

A BEAST

I have 26000 sf that needs to be cleared of leaves each fall. I've had several leaf blowers from the big box stores but could never find any with real clearing power. Battery operated blowers don't have the extended life I need to do the job...each charged battery can clear 1000 sf before dying...minimum 2 hour recharge...do the math. I found this CRAFTSMAN on line. All that being said two words discribe the CRAFTSMAN...A BEAST! It makes quich work of clearing leaves. No promble blowing them into my neighbors yard. Yeah you have to drag an extension cord around but it is worth the inconvience. As a side note who ever is now making CRAFTSMAN power tools is doing an outstandig job...just like the good old days. ... show more

Buyer beware.

One reason that I purchased this product was because I believed in, and trusted, the Craftsman name. However, after receiving this product, I used it twice, liked its performance (hence the one star) but on the third attempt to use it, it failed to work at all. All troubleshooting steps failed. Since the 30-day return window had closed five days prior to this attempt, I turned to Craftsman’s customer service department for a possible resolution. I asked for help, instead all I’ve received is e-mail after e-mail asking for more or the same information, which I have provided, but they continue to ask for more proof that I own this product. This has been ongoing for a couple of weeks and there is still no resolution from Craftsman. I, and my family, have purchased Craftsman products for years and have found them to have high quality, reliable products. But with this latest experience, I can no longer trust them to provide a quality product, or positive customer service, that I would recommend. Buyer beware. ... show more

Works great!

It's light enough for me and the power settings are great. Blows leaves and the sand/dirt off the outdoor rubber mats in my horse paddock. Noisy as you'd think but that's not an issue for me.

Strong leaf blower

The leaf blower is very strong. Much stronger than the battery operated one. If you have outside plug for leaf blowing, this blower is ideal. It's light and strong.
