Just know, this is pretty heavy and is ONLY good for extremely light snow maybe an inch or so. Forget it if the snow starts to melt a bit, just doesn’t do it. Have a manual shovel handy or a powered “snow blower” ready cause you’ll need it. I went out this morning to move about 2” of snow near the steps but it struggled and overloaded. I had to go back to manual shovel. If the snow is really light, this does move snow out of the way nicely when I tried it last year. It has an adjustable direction knob in which to direct the snow. Craftsmanship is good but it really isn’t designed for anything other than extremely light snow. I recommend getting one though and trying it yourself. It isn’t that expensive. The Craftsman cordless line is an excellent choice for many tools. Good luck and May God Bless. UPDATE DECEMBER 27TH, 2025: I changed my review to 5 full stars because this machine deserved it. So I started out about 0430 today at the end of the snowstorm. The snow was slightly heavy at about 7” in spots but unlike last time, this year worked like a charm. Probably because I attacked it more conservatively. Still, it’ll struggle if you take too big of a bite. About half scoop at a time, worked like a charm. I stalled it a couple times taking in too much snow but on an average, this worked soooooo good. It doesn't eliminate the need for a manual shovel or a 2 stage machine but it certainly helped. Even to remove what the Ariens left behind. Buy with confidence. If you realize the limitation of equipment and things. You’ll love this and probably get another for a gift. O, and I used a 9AH battery which was still 3/4 charged after about an hours off and on use. It was a nice surprise I didn’t need the spare battery I was carrying. Anyway, go easy with snow, don’t overdo it. Everyone is vulnerable clearing snow, especially the elderly. Merry Christmas and May God Bless!

Great for anyone wanting to lighten their load for shoveling snow. We live in the house that is the neighborhood school bus stop. We take the responsibility of keeping our driveway and sidewalks clear of ice snow and debris for the safety of the kids. The Craftsman electric snow shovel is a good product. However, depends on the type of snow you receive. Powdery snow, like what you get in Utah an other dry climates it performs well. In wetter snow that you get in Ohio or northeast it clogged often. The shovel came and was missing one of the screws used to assemble. Luckily I was able to find a replacement. Additionally the handle cracked and broke during the second use. I was able to still utilize it but now the search for a replacement handle begins. Overall its a good product for the cost and if you don't receive large amounts of snow or wet/heavy snow. If the shovel would have came with all hardware and the handle lasted more than two uses I would have rated it higher.

Got to use this right away on 6 inches of snow. It worked really well and cut a great single pathway. I was surprised at the power. It is still like shoveling and is a combo of throwing/pushing snow away but it works. The direction of the throw is adjustable.

It is very small and underpowered, though battery consumption seems to be pretty good. It'd only be useful for maybe up to 3 inches of light powder. It's useless in heavy or wet snow, and jams easily from small rocks or debris. Pretty easy to assemble, but pole seems flimsy. Highly bottomheavy, not well balanced. A shovel would be quicker and easier.

The product works pretty well and I don't have any complaints. I was shoveling 5 inches of wet snow. Using this tool was definitely easier than using a traditional snow shovel. I bought my dad a more robust electric snow shovel. If I was to purchase one again, I would splurge and get the one with a larger auger and larger battery.
