  • Very good plow
This plow has made a huge difference for us, we have a large driveway with multiple angles and a hill, it works great! Just need to oil up the hinge each use in severe cold(under 20 degrees F) as ice can build up over time and make it have to raise and lower. It moves the snow well, and I actually like how the snow is pushed with this over our plow guy. No more grass to patch up. ... show more

  • Well worth the extra few bucks.
Fit perfectly on my YS 4500. Installation took a couple hours without help. The instructions were clear and very easy to follow. I can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. First, the unit arrived scratched to he11. There wasn't a single piece that didn't have scratches and gouges in the finish. Without a touchup painting this will rust immediately. The second reason is the design flaw where the plow spring tongue bolts to the plow frame, tractor side, the handle pin and support pin underneath will bend out of place it an object is hit at certain angles. The spreads the frame apart, sheers the cotter pins and will eventually come apart. The materials seem to be good quality and durable otherwise.(Especially compared to the knock off for just a few bucks cheaper). Everything fit without any customization. The handle is Solid steel (competitors were hollow), with solid cables and fittings. ... show more

  • I think it will save my back and maybe my heart.
At 81 I decided that I didn't need to shovel snow. I have been using an electric snow blower for several years but even that is hard work for an old man with a 220' driveway and a 50' circle. I ordered this and I must say that a few people say they put it together in 1 1/2 hrs. B.S. It took me from noon to dark to install and I didn't even take a break. It feels solid and easy to raise and lower and turn the blade. Earlier we got 4" snow here in Northwest Arkansas. That's why I bought this. Guess what. It hasn't snowed since. But if it does, I'm ready for it. COME ON SNOW! ... show more

  • pretty useless
Tried to use it to move 1/2 inch stay pack but the blade would fold up except on very small amounts that I can move faster with a shovel. The handle is a joke and not effective at all. You have to have it just right to make it go up or down. I would not waste my money. The hand made one we made last time was better than this by far. Too weak and flimsy to be of any use on any but the smallest projects. ... show more

  • Good, well-built product
Read the assembly instructions carefully. I recommend twice through before starting, and lay out all the pieces and become familiar with the relative sizes of each bolt type, because the instructions do not list the actual size, just show an outline of the various connectors. Used this blade to move 10 yards of top soil and spread around the yard to fill in the low spots. Tractor is a 42-inch, Craftsman T210 Turn Tight with an 18 horse Kohler, Tuff Torq K46 rearend. Moved the dirt easily with very little slippage of the drive wheels. Took about 20 minutes each to level two, 5-yard dirt piles and spread over an area of about 1500 square feet. No chains needed in the dry conditions in which I was working the soil. Should be noted the top soil I use is screened with no roots and no rock, so roots and clay bombs might make a difference on how the blade handles. Have chains to mount once the snow flies. Update: See pics. fits the Husqvarna TS354XD just fine, but not as handy a mounting bracket system as on the Craftsman. ... show more

  • 3 stars because of terrible assembly instructions.
Lots of sellers send easy to identify hardware for assembly of furniture. This took me 5 times longer than it needed to. If you have wits about you, you can figure it out. It is not user friendly at all. Send a link to an assembly video sheesh! It is a cool little thing though. I tried it out today and it plowed just like a truck. ... show more

  • I should have bought this years ago
After experiencing prices for snow removal continually increase, I looked into adding this to my Craftsman lawn tractor. Granted, the installation was a little tricky, but all of the parts were there. As this product is designed for multiple models, you WILL have parts left over. make sure you read all of the directions and keep key parts lubricated. As others have mentioned, it's somewhat difficult to change the angle of the blade, but I got the hang of it quickly. Chains are a must. I ordered the Peerless chains (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GDLJS28/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Note their sizing guide is with the documentation near the bottom of the page. You'll also need to add weight. I had trouble finding an adequate commercial solution and instead went with sandbags. One is draped across the center beneath my legs. The other is in a 5 gallon bucket wired to the back. With a little practice, I got the hang of this in no time. ... show more

  • Decent work saver
Go through the instructions beforehand. As others have noted, they're a bit difficult to follow. The same kinds of bolts and nuts were split up in separate packages so you should sort out all the hardware prior to assembly. Nylock nuts are used, and they are unforgiving if you make a mistake in assemby or they fail later because you're not supposed to reuse them. I had to reuse some until I find suitable replacements because the skid spacer, that keeps the edge of the blade off the ground, failed the second time I used the blade and may have tore up some of my blacktop driveway. Perhaps I didn't tighten them enough during assembly. I am older and have a sizable driveway, so having this blabe saves me a lot of heavy labor. ... show more
