For a blue eyed gal like myself, this is the perfect mascara. I basically have zero critiques. I usually have reactions to mainstream mascara (burning, itching, red eyes) and this product has not caused any of that, even with all my sensitivities. It doesn't clump, either, and doesn't flake. It's a little hard to remove, but that's what I was hoping for in a waterproof mascara. Overall, I really love this mascara and it looks gorgeous on.

I’ve been using this mascara for years! It doesn’t clump or require multiple coats and my lashes always get compliments. I love that it’s gentle and doesn’t cause my lashes to break and lasts all day. Easy to remove at night with soap and water or makeup remover. Best mascara without breaking the bank!

I’ve tried a few different mascaras and I keep going back to this one. The wand keeps clumps to a minimum. I don’t get raccoon eyes on hot days, but it washes off easily. The color is deep black. Highly recommend

I have tried so many different mascaras including others made by Cover Girl. This one is the best for me. It is easy to apply with the narrow brush and it is natural looking without that heavy mascara look.

I got this because I like the non-waterproof version of this - CoverGirl Lash Blast Clean Volume Mascara, 835 Black Brown (ewg score of 1), and with so much snow lately, I needed a good waterproof mascara. I got the Very Black 825 in particular because it has a score of 1 on ewg.com/skindeep - while the non-waterproof 835 also has a score of 1. Not the other colors though, which is worth noting if you don't like irritants near your eyes. Among other ewg friendly mascaras, I love this one because it separates the lashes and does not create a "spider-y" look that other mascaras, especially tubing ones, can have. (essence | Lash Princess Mascara Primer and essence | Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara are not my bag, but would be good if I had less and/or shorter lashes) This waterproof formula is more prone to clumping compared to the non-waterproof, but I guess that is to be expected for waterproof. It removes okay; I use "Farmacy Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm - Green Clean - EWG VERIFIED" followed by "La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser | 2% Salicylic Acid" (EWG score of 4 due to Salicylic acid and menthol - which I think are good for its purposes). Whatever is left is easily removed with a cotton pad or two and "Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil."
